There is no light at all. As you say, orange light is in rest mode0

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I thought I'd have another test of my PS5. My IHD only displays to the nearest Watt, and with little on as I type this it shows an instantaneous electricity usage that keeps flicking between 51 W and 52 W. This is with my PS5 shut down, but switching it off at the socket as well makes no difference to this.
@smjxm09 I don't understand what you're seeing but your thread title is definitely incorrect. Right now I'm wondering if there may be a fault with your power meter. As you say the lack of lights should exclude your console being in rest mode but in that case there's no way it should be using 32 W.0 -

I am finding the discussion quite interesting as I have a PS5 and leave it in rest mode. I also have an LG TV, Sonos soundbar and Nintendo Wii connected to the same power outlet. The TV, soundbar and Wii are all also in standby mode when not in use.
I plugged in my Tapo P100 monitor to the wall socket a few minutes ago.
I have no controllers on charge through the PS5 USB ports and as far as I am aware there are no software updates or games downloads taking place.
After about a minute, the Tapo App was reporting a consistent current draw of 14 watts across all the devices plugged into that single socket.
I have no idea how accurate the Tapo plug is, but given I have 4 devices on standby and they are drawing a combined 14 watts, then that's a heck of a lot less than the OP's claim for a PS5 alone.4 -
Here is the YouTube video of the PS5 shutting down. The watt meter on the left is showing whole house power consumption while the meter of the right is showing PS5 mA consumption. Remember that my next door neighbours PS5 does the same.
