is there any way you can get an actual plug energy monitor that doesn't require converson and can display the use of a single device directly over a time? amazon regularly has them for £10 and maybe your neighbor will split it.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.3 -
Just to revisit this thread, the tech-heads at Digital Foundry have done some testing to compare the cost of energy used by a PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and a Nintendo Switch per hour in various states (they assume a price cap cost of 34p/kwh).

Well at least their figures seem more realistic than microsoft's claims for rest mode, however rest mode now on the xbox does background downloading in all of its modes now, which I think is around the time I started noticing it using a lot more power in rest state.1
