No advantage completing referral form before switch completes, previous £50 offer I had friends completing referral claim form twice which became messy.masonic said:WillPS said:

Do you think they will honour access to the online Referral Form on/after this date - or is it quite possible they'll pull it off the website given that it's just for November so...tough!! (not sure if the long lead time is a dirty trick they often use ?).
you can submit the referral form as soon as you get the account number and sort code, there is no requirement that you need to submit this only after your switch gets complete. My referrals have done this and all have got bonus just after few days of switching dateTo continue, confirm that you: Have read and saved the terms and conditions, opened a Co-operative Bank Current Account or Everyday Extra account and completed a full switch.
I've told my referees to wait until the switch has taken place.Again, conflicting information between the landing page and the T&Cs:

no other advantage than getting bonus early. Just few post back, I commented a live example as of "today" where both of us got the bonus for switch completing on 4th Nov. If friend is completing the form after the switch is complete then wouldnt have got money this quick. But also doesnt matter if you get it today or after a week or within 60 days

Last time I took part, I waited until my switch had completed. However, in the situation where the offer is pulled and clause 4.3 comes into play (14 days to make your claim), but they allow for switches that are due to complete up to 4 weeks after the offer is pulled (only fair if that's the earliest date people could get), then there may be no choice. I agree there isn't any point in claiming in advance in the absence of such a scenario.bristolleedsfan said:

Friends who submitted referral claim form after switch completed got paid referral reward within same few days after switch completed as had been posted previously as well hence as I said no advantage submitting referral form earlier.Ghostcrawler said:bristolleedsfan said:

If the switch completed Nov 4th then by either definition the referee is ready to claim, tho.Ghostcrawler said:bristolleedsfan said:

I'm saying referees should wait until after their switch has happened, as per the claim page.0 -
As per prior post, the claim was put in on 27th Oct, switch completed 4th Nov, paid 7th Nov. I don't think payment looks to have been made materially faster than payments under the previous scheme when claimed on switch day. Clearly some manual checking is required (switch completed, referrer and referee accounts still open, etc), these cannot take place until after the switch is complete, and will be the rate limiting step for payment.WillPS said:

The most recent referral claim that I was involved in after it was noticed referring limit had increased from 3 to 5, friend claimed 3 October, paid out 5th October
£50 referral offer was in force a long time, it started off as email invite only where only a selected number of customers were able to refer. longer referral programme went on quicker it paid out.0 -
Switch completed today and received £125 and I apply during the £50 offer so that was a nice bonus and pays super quick.1
