Sorry if it has been asked before but it's 50 pages to read otherwise. Can I open a cashminder account and refer my partner also for a cashminder account or does it have to be a current account? If the latter it's a no go for me, too many hard searches already in the last weeks.0

To be eligible for the offer, the person you’re referring must:
- Not have a Co-operative Bank current account of any type
- Open a new Co-operative Bank Current Account or Everyday Extra account
- Complete a full switch from their main current account to their new Co-operative Bank account using the Current Account Switch Service.

I would certainly challenge on this basis if someone I referred were denied the incentive because account details were not provided or the switch was not completed in time to meet any deadline imposed.
But from most people's experiences last time it sounds like Co-op did honour the bonus for everyone who applied before the offer closed. And while we can't say whether they will definitely act the same this time round, I think it's more likely that they will.0 -
I just got a letter saying I need to provide further details like photo ID etc before I can open my account.
With how long this is taking I can see missing out on offer, because as I understand it, I can't give my referee's details until I've been given an account no and sort code?0 -

I think last time Co-op said that people had 14 days to submit the referral form after the offer closed but they ended up extending it.
The point of my previous comment was simply to say that I think people don't need to worry if their switches are taking ages. Co-op will still honour it.
Not basing this on any interpretation of the t&cs just how Co-op handled delayed switches last time. Plenty of stories of people contacting them over delays and the incentive being paid. Even of people making formal complaints about how poorly Co-op dealt with their switch and getting compensation on top of the referral bonus.
