I’m glad your mum has some great carers. Make sure you take care of yourself. You and your mum should be your main focus right now. The rest can wait xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hooray for the carers 👍January spends - £587.581

caring is tough even if you have the assistance of carers coming in to do the every day stuff like personal care and medication.
you will find your feet and you will find routine , take any little windows there are to do something for yourself and if those oppurtunities to leave the house are few and far between make sure you do something nice for you , an indulgent bath , a good film , a box of chocolates or a glass of wine.
its really important you do this ........................just do what the house needs to operate , dont look for jobs etc until you feel a little more with it
most importantly rest !!! get some lavender oil , some nytol , start your bedtime wind down as soon as mums does.
I found that trying to get to bed as early as possible made all the difference , im a night owl and rarely go to bed before midnight but getting between the sheet and de activating all blue devices really does help3 -
Are you back at work now? Hope they’re being understanding of all of this. How are you feeling?2

Am going back to work on Monday.
To be honest I have missed it. I like my job - remind me of this in a few weeks when I am stressed out of my tree. I miss the kids, my friends, the sort of achievement of being at work. You feel like you have done something.
I have a lot to do here. Charity shop. Moving of furniture. Food Shopping.
bit over whelming really.
also have NO money or rather just enough money to survive till the end of Feb. I spent LOADS whilst mum was in hospital and had a spanking big CC bill. Had to borrow money from the "savings" and all my optimistic over payments of the loan have messed things up a bit. Feb is going to be a bare essentials month. but it is basically three weeks, too snowed under with everything to spend money.................
Nevertheless she persisted.3 -
