I'm presuming they won't discharge your mum until a proper care package is in place. Sounds like she will need carers, physio and a visit from an OT to see if any changes are needed in the house. Hope you're feeling a bit better today. I am full of the nasty throat virus and cough/cold as well. It certainly saps your energy

The cold and flu tablets warded off the lurgy. Tho to be honest it could be that I put the heating on! I am SO Tired. Mum came home from hospital yesterday. It was awful.
The day got better, and then this morning was really good Mum ate and drank and had slept all night. However at lunchtime she fell over (with the carer present !) It was terrible, had to call an ambulance, thank GOD it took only 40 minutes to arrive. And she was ok. IS ok.
Am so so tired.Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
Sorry to hear your mum fell, but glad she is ok. What on earth was the carer doing, to let her fall?
Hope you get some sleep and things improve for your mum.Making the debt go down and savings go up

The lovely paramedics got her up and put her back in bed. She was ok which was a huge relief.
Today was better. But as you can tell by the time the days are LONG. Need to be more motivated to get stuff done earlier.

Ok so life continues to be a STEEP learning curve. Am seemingly permanently tired or/and hungry. The carers are AMAZING. The service is fantastic (one made one mistake but honestly to have a 100% would be too much) but is hard to rearrange your whole life around a fairly random timetable.
I have had moments of despair and frustration. And again SO tired but am making progress.
I really thought hard about paying off the loan. I have made a few extra payments. It will be 3700ish by the end of the week. I feel like I could really focus on it and get it cleared.
I have also sent myself 50 a month "fun money" so when Mum is a bit better I can go out and have some fun!
God I am so tiredNevertheless she persisted.3 -
