Nothing wrong with a bit of Scooby Do. Once the drawers are built and you get things in them it will be a sense of achievement. Look at things in smaller chunks…..ok the rest of the room might still be a mess BUT those drawers weren’t built yesterday so you have most definitely achieved something. Take life in small chunks atm as the big picture is just overwhelming. Hang in there and be kind to yourself. I definitely get you wanting to be back at work and to be busy. At least organise your room before you go back and then you’ll have an escape hole 👍

When my mum was in for 8 weeks it was hellish.  The journey was bad enough as she was in a london hospital and it meant an hours train ride then 3 tube changes each way but the actual visiting was so exhausting. Trying to make conversation, take in information, knowing that you’ve got so much to do when you get home.

I’m not sure if you’re on any antidepressants (and feel free to tell me to b ugger off) but if you are it might be worth chatting to the dr/pharmacist about upping your dose…if you’re not taking any then maybe it’s worth a chat with the GP.  You sound so low and a lack of motivation is a huge warning flag that your chemical imbalance is out of whack.

Any news on when they’re thinking of letting your mum out?

I had a house bunny that used to thump at night, usually when there was just me in the house.Never did catch him in the act, I think he did it to attract my attention and stopped as soon as I got anywhere near!
As others have said, you’re doing so much, please do also take care of yourself.

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Oh my word....you do have so much going on. I really think you will need extra help when your mum gets home.
We had carpet moths a few years ago and like you, I only discovered when we moved some furniture. We bought some spray online to get rid of them. I thought it meant I hadn't been cleaning properly, but apparently not, they just like to go to warm places and breed very quickly.   Never had them since.

Hope the rain eases before you have to go out and your mum is ok when you visit.
