AS several people have already said - milk or cream that has GONE OFF or is smelly is NOT the same as sour cream or milk used in recipes.
I think there needs to be a health warning on some threads0 -
hi,
I've got 4 pint carton of semi- skimmed milk that has soured and separated - would it be safe to use for cooking / baking? if so, what could i use it for?
thanks,

urgh, no don't do it!!!! It'll taste awful and probably make you ill.
There's only one use I know of, drain cleaner, pour it down and rinse away!:EasterBun0 -
I would say not if it has got as far as seperating!! - I know some recipes call for sour milk, but I think it would need to be just 'on the turn'.. not at the nasty stage!0

I think this is for very slightly sour milk, or milk that has been soured by the addition of lemon juice. Please don't anybody use milk that has seperated. Unless you know how to make cheese...!0 -
