Freecycle. They said please so they got the item.

Just heard back from moderator.
Apparently the onus was on me to make clear in my ad that I didn't want the item to be sold on. Freecycle is there to keep stuff out of landfill, and that's all.
I know that, but still can't help feeling a bit miffed.

Great, must cheer you on no end and next time you have something to give, you'll probably think twice.I would.

I'd definately contact the person through ebay and say you're aware they are selling it and this wasn't the intention of you giving the woman the table and chairs.....otherwise you'd have put them on ebay yourself.

It's clearly bugging you, as it would me, so send an email and don't be concerned as you have done nothing wrong and see if she responds.;)

Surely all Freecycle groups have a rule that there must be no re-selling or that if a trader they must declare the fact.

Can you honestly believe someone would lie like that, while stating how honest she was.

I wish there was a way of destroying the credit rating she is so proud about.
If she lies about this, it is a fair bet she lies about all the other stuff she sells.

Have emailed the seller. Will be interesting to see what she says, (if she bothers to reply).

Stick a question on there asking if it is your old table and chairs - maybe they are like me and don't know how to stop the answers being published under the auction.

Lying about a relative's death is pretty damn sick in my opinion and their buyer's should know.

shocking how some people think they can get away with doing things like that
if its really annoying you l would go back on freecycle and put a taken add on (you have probaly already done that..) but do it again and say taken table and chairs by there name and being sold on ebay.....if your lucky the mods will not check the add and when they realise what it says and take it off it will also go to everybody who only gets digest mail (think thats what its called) will still be able to read it

Another alternative would be to win the item but never collect - accept one negative feedback comment for letting her future buyers know what a lying manipulative gutter rat she is.

I think I'm as angry as you are about this - I hate people lying.

I've checked the rules on ours and it just says

"You are a re-seller if you use the group to acquire items to sell. This
includes items to be used in construction or repair of other items which
will then be sold.
