Yes, looks much better after the update. I can now see that keeping 1 neon tetra alive (inherited him and the fish tank when MIL passed) is not costing me quite as much as I was expecting. Although I hope he has a happy life, I hope it's not too long  ;)

  • Many thanks to Forumites on this thread who have been debating this product. Purchased one from Amazon at <£10 and have to say first impressions are that it is an excellent product.

It's presently located in our conservatory where the network signal is not really that good, but it is nevertheless maintaining contact and producing the required information on our Lakeland upright drier. Will definitely buy more of these to monitor other appliances around our house (freezers and equipment left on standby most of the time).

I don't envisage saving a fortune, but at least it's good to know what the main components are of your daily electric usage and will be interested to see how much it costs every time I use my power washer on family cars or garden shredder when trimming trees/bushes etc.

Decided to turn auto update off.

One of mine has now gone offline, will look at it next time I shut connected stuff down.

    Don't use the App data.

Turned auto-update off on my P110 as well. It's currently monitoring the heated blanket. Last thing I need with that is for the P110 to power cycle when it updates. If the power is interrupted, when it comes on the blanket goes into full power for one hour - you subsequently wake up warm as toast!

Hi - just done the firmware updates manually to avoid any interuption to the schedules overnight. How do I check which version of the Android app I am using and/or how do I update it? Or do I just assume I have the latest version because I have auto update on?

I couldn't see anything in the app to indicate if there was an upgrade, so I went to Google play and searched for it and it only gives me an option to Uninstall or Open, so I assume I already have the latest.  I think last time when they did something with the dates it gave an option to upgrade.

You can see the version of the app you're running by going to 'Me' at the bottom right of the screen and then to About and it shows the Version - I have 2.11.23.

ETA:  Just checked the details on Play and it does say that's the current version, last updated 8th November.

@chris_n - we were obviously typing at the same time - I found the version in the Play store and that is the latest version - I'd just edited the post you quoted.
