Existing Santander customer here with a joint account.
We were able to set up a joint eSaver a/c this morning and within a few minutes the a/c was live in our banking app.
Already transferred out the max daily allowance from our Marcus instant access a/c and placed it in the eSaver.
This eSaver a/c will also be a good harbour to place our Premium Bond cash at the start of next month when I cash in the PBs. My plan is to watch how interest rates move in November and hopefully snap up a good rate on a couple of 1 year fix ISAs. And who knows, by then there may be some even better instant access savings a/c on the table.0 -
It is my other banks that are limiting to 10K daily transfer out.0

Worth remembering that it's very possible that another account offering a still higher rate will come along before April and you'll want to move your money there.Swipe said:I always go monthly for tax purposes
Getting monthly interest from now can ensure that up to 5 months interest is paid during this tax year, which will suit some people.
But getting annual interest gives the flexibility of being paid in the next tax year, by keeping the account open with just a pound if necessary, or being paid this year, by closing it before April 6. Which might be a better option for others.

Can be done online or if already with santander can use the online banking app.

yes, exactly the same, i use to have a business account with them 12 years ago at a different address.EthicsGradient said:I signed up yesterday, and got email within minutes saying the account was set up, with account number so I can put money into it, but ...
'something' in the details I gave didn't match details they already had about me (I had a savings account with them over 10 years ago). All I can think of is a changed email address or mobile number, or perhaps last time they only knew one of my 2 middle names (because sometimes forms don't give enough space to fill two in). So they asked me to photocopy proof-of-identity documents and post them to them. Which I've done (at least they were clear they didn't want originals, which some unreasonably do demand). Until they've checked that, I don't get the means to sign on and check money has got there (or withdraw it) - so I'm not funding it till I can do that.0 -
£20-30k is a common daily limit these days in my experience, although some banks have none. I move savings through my Barclays current account quite often and their daily external payment limit is £50k. Nationwide have a £10k limit but that is per transaction, not per day.Tryinghardtosave said:oooh, you learn something new everyday - I have been only moving 10k at a time as that is what used to be the limit !!! Considering, the I had still all my sign in details - I wonder why it's taking so long.It seems to be hit & miss. I closed my Santander accounts over 4 years ago, but opened & had a new E-Saver account up & running in minutes as (surprisingly to me), my old login details still worked.I have also moved home since then but that wasn't a problem either.1
