That’s what I thought but on the confirmation page it says:

Account options

Initial deposit

5000

Interest to be paid

Monthly

I’m just wondering if putting a higher or lower amount affects things later on when transferring funds into the account?

I just wonder if I’ll have transfers blocked for security/fraud checks if the amount is higher than quoted? That said, it doesn’t seem to have affected you!

Maybe I’m just over thinking things as usual!

I put in £100 on the form as the initial amount. Account opened no problems and I transferred in the £100. That went through instantly so then I added 20k. That went through instantly also.

You are. See my post. Just put your initial chosen amount in that box, then fund as usual as and when.

I don't recall being asked how much I planned to deposit when I opened this account. Seems a bit strange if some are and some aren't?

You are. See my post. Just put your initial chosen amount in that box, then fund as usual as and when.
