Thanks. That is what I thought as this is the Santander way although I haven't see it in any of their documentation as it is for the 123 account.

Edit. I will know soon as it will either be Tuesday 1st Nov or Friday 11th Nov.

Definitely on the date of opening.

Spoke to them on the phone last week.

I thought someone had found in the small print that it is to be paid at the end of each calendar month? I suppose we'll know either way in a day or two.

Someone noted a box that mentioned interest is paid "on the last day of each month", but it didn't specifically mention calendar month so it left it somewhat open to interpretation. Like a previous poster I also was personally told by Santander that interest will be paid on the monthly anniversary of the day the account was opened.

I've had previous eSavers from Santander and they always paid on the monthly anniversary of account opening not on the last day of the calendar month (same with the interest on 123 account).

I have monthly interest on my a/c so was expecting it to have been credited this morning. Anyone know when the interest should be credited?

I opened and funded mine on the 11th October which was the day it was first announced (I think) so I wasn't expecting my first interest payment until tomorrow (there's nothing there yet).
