    You'll receive instructions with each posting pack. Also, when you receive items you'll be told how to log them on the app by scanning the QR code.

    I find the vouchers gained from building points as useful as the stamps.

    I find invites to unaddressed mail surveys come up quite often, correctly addressed mail not as often. Although correctly addressed only last two weeks the data entry is more of a faff as there are more questions, letters, parcels, failed deliveries, theft risk, all of which seem to be preceded by a tick to confirm I understand.

    I got an answer from Spectos…

    ======================================================

    Why is this happening? The dispatch points (post offices and postboxes) shown in the app are sourced directly from a nationwide Royal Mail database, which we update weekly. Occasionally, there are discrepancies between this database and reality. If a postbox is temporarily suspended or missing from the official database, it will not appear in our app.

    How are we fixing it? We know how frustrating it is to be unable to submit a bundle report simply because the postbox isn't listed. Any discrepancies are investigated with Royal Mail to check for inaccuracies in the database. Unfortunately, this process takes time in some cases. Therefore, we are currently working on an app improvement that will allow you to report problems with posting points while still submitting your bundle postings.

    What to do in the meantime?

    • Use an alternative: If possible, please use a different postbox or post office that appears correctly in the app.
    • Report the issue:  If you cannot use an alternative, please continue to flag these missing locations to us so we can investigate with Royal Mail. Please send us the bundle ID and a photo of the Post Office or postbox, ensuring the faceplate is clearly visible and the postbox ID is visible.
    • Returns: If you have been holding items for a long time because you cannot post them, please let us know. We can arrange a return option for you.

    ====================================================

    Well… this box was converted in January - so it should have been added to the database by now. Wonder if the database still considers it a postbox as opposed to a parcel postbox? Which means we can't use them for parcels as the app assumes they go to a PO or a parcel box.

    I've followed up with a photo so they know what I'm talking about.

    I need to think of something new here...

    Whilst the upgraded box now accepts parcels, is it not still a regular post box rather than a parcel box because it also accepts letters, which a parcel box would not? Or does the post box no longer appear in the list of normal post boxes either?

    EDIT: have just read your subsequent post, sounds like the issue is that you can’t select a regular post box as a box to send a parcel from? I’ve never tried that as I don’t have any upgraded boxes near to me but my recollection is that when posting parcels at a parcel post box, other regular post boxes did appear in the list. Do you get an error message when trying to select them?

    Hi MG,

    I've used this one as a regular postbox and it appears in that list. But since the bundle is a mailbag, I don't have the option to go to that list - only Post Office or Parcel Postbox and the latter gives me only the standard parcel boxes which are a few miles away. So I might have to go back to the PO next time.

    If we can't use these yet - then I hope Spectos puts out some clarification for anyone else with one.

    Yesterday, the app nagged me for not sending logging the outgoing package and then again because the packages I sent had been logged as arriving. Not nagging today so perhaps it has been half-sorted in the background. I say half because I haven't got the points for posting it yet…

    On the upside, I've started getting test items in now.

    I need to think of something new here...

    Ok I need help……I have just received my first senders pack. Two items…..one to post for Tuesday, the other Wednesday. Both have stamps on them and I get that I need to scan the items QR code on posting and then enter info i.e time,date etc but in the leaflet it says:
    "You are a Meter Franked Mailagent and need to ensure that when sending any of our test items you frank them using your franking machine."

    I guess this doesnt apply to what I have been sent as they are already stamped. Is a franking machine something that they send you?

    Only business senders use franking machines, even then they use their own machines and are paid for the cost of postage. I’m guessing they have wrongly categorised you as a business sender not a residential domestic sender. I’d raise a ticket in the app.

    If anyone has received a Mailagents Support email with an invite to take part in a 2 week 'Correct Mail Delivery' survey, the acceptance message, isn't in your messages in the App as the email states, you'll find it under 'Pending Tickets'…🙃
