Surely delivery confirmation would defeat the purpose of an anonymous survey?savergrant said:
This day and age you'd think they'd have delivery confirmation as ebay do...catsitter said:I do wish they would explain bank holidays to their system so we don't get queries asking if we're sure items weren't delivered on one. It would make more sense for them to query anything that we say WAS delivered on a bank holiday.

And maybe the service would be better? Less mail left sitting around undelivered for days?HonestJohn said:

They would never complete their delivery rounds if they had to scan each item..savergrant said:

Parent is still waiting for her mother's day card that was sent a week early. How would they track missing mail? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I guess if they scanned the stamp as proof of posting they'd be able to track its whereabouts.elsien said:Parent is still waiting for her mother's day card that was sent a week early. How would they track missing mail?
I've had a fairly small number of large letters go missing over the last year, seems to me like their investigation is very limited. If the qr codes were recorded they should be able to tell the last place the item was.
I understand the high tech stamps were mainly to stop counterfeiting but it should be possible to use them for tracking.1 -
Agreed if you ask for proof of posting. But most of us for non-valuable items just shove them in the post box without getting any proof. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I have queried the same thing with them, also if I get mail on a Monday they query it as being scanned at 10.47 Saturday in their delivery office. I was never going to receive it Saturday because the post person had left with their round and they dont deliver on Sunday!catsitter said:I do wish they would explain bank holidays to their system so we don't get queries asking if we're sure items weren't delivered on one. Took my first set of outgoing parcels (this cycle) to the PO yesterday and noticed that the last acceptance time had changed from 5.15pm to 5.05pm. So when I logged the parcels standing outside the PO - I tried to report this. App then asks me for a photo of the plate??? Well, I'm not going to walk back in and photograph it am I? That wouldn't look suspicious at all... Maybe I'll try and do it from the queue next time I go.I need to think of something new here...1

I've had that as well. I think it took me three attempts of telling Spectos no I couldn't get a photo. In end I brazened it out, took the picture in full view and told staff I was taking the photo for future reference as I have the memory of a goldfish. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Is there a postbox outside the post office?NBLondon said:Took my first set of outgoing parcels (this cycle) to the PO yesterday and noticed that the last acceptance time had changed from 5.15pm to 5.05pm.
