The RM state "Regular stamps without a barcode* are no longer valid for postage."

    You can check here https://www.royalmail.com/sending/barcoded-stamps

There are some threads on this also if you care to look.

Don't forget though that the ones with a monetary value devalue quickly.

Does anyone know if you can use the stamps in the Presentation Packs as normal postage on letters/parcels… as they don’t have barcodes?

Yes you can use stamps in the presentation packs, it’s just the ones that have the large queen head on that you can’t.  I took this off the RM website.

I always send RFID envelopes back the same day. Yet I also always have a notification asking me to send them back.So I’m not keen on this paragraph in their latest email!

” Important note - if these notifications are not actioned and we do not see a change in performance over a period of 3 weeks you will lose your space on the survey and be removed from participation.”.
So if you're unlucky and they don't get delivered back to Spectos fast enough - it's your fault...

I toss them back in the postbox the next time I pass it - so usually 24 to 48 hours - but the app tells you when they were logged as arrived back in Birmingham and you get the 10 points.  That can be a week later and in one case it was 3 months later!
I need to think of something new here...

The system is not foolproof. They could track them through the system if they wanted to. Quite a few of us have had 10 points awarded when we are on our rest period for RFIDs belonging to somebody else.

Interesting… that must be the reason why I’ve just been awarded 10 points for returning an RFID, even though I’m coming to the end of my rest period and haven’t sent any back to them since July.

  • Is anyone else having problems with the App this morning? It doesn’t show anything in UM section or Bundle timetable. Keep getting timeout exceeded or report code status error.
Have rebooted my phone but still not working!

Yes, me. Taking ages to load, getting a timeout message and then unaddressed mail is completely blank.
And it is fully updated, So it’s not that causing it.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

You can’t raise a ticket either! So it’ll have to be an email.
  • I’m having the same issues. The app is a pain, I don’t know about anyone else but it’s taking ages every time I post a bundle to enter the information. I don’t know if it’s the app, the masts in my area or my phone but I hate having to loiter around the postbox.

Don’t have any issues using the App when posting bundles, it works quickly for me.
