Anyone know what package timetable which has just appeared in the app is supposed to mean? I’ve now got that as well as bundle timetable but I seem to have about 20 overdue packages…
I think it’s another ‘feature’ of the latest release of the app. For me it shows 5 packages while I was resting, and 1 in the future in two months time!, which are all apparently overdue …
Well, having put my little grey cells to work on this, looking through the paperwork I have retained, the Posting Plan that arrives with every Senders Pack has these "A numbers" as the PACK ID

They appear to be SENDERS PACKS that never arrived (or were never sent)

I have 3 items on my timetable - 2 Overdue and 1 in the Future

    For Feb 16th I have A3213 OVERDUE

    Well
    A3192 arrived on 31st Jan
    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Missing ID A3213
    A3216 on 10th Feb
    A3233 on 15th Feb
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< When it should have arrived ?
    A3255 on 22nd Feb

    For Apr 5th I have A3356 OVERDUE

    Similarly I received
    A3270 on 28th Feb
    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Missing ID A3356
    A3358 on 23rd Mar,
    A3383 on Apr 4th
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< When it should have arrived ?
    A3398 on Apr 11th

For both of these OVERDUEs, I obviously have received a LOWER Annnn and on a date before this overdue date.
However I also received 2 Sender Packs with a HIGHER Annnn EARLIER than the Overdue Annnn due date

Don't think it is anything for any of us to be concerned with - can't be accused of error for events that never happened

I was going to reply to Spectos but 3 of their queries go back to October of last year. I haven't kept the paperwork as far back as that. I think I'll just wait and see if I hear any further from them. I suspect something's gone wrong with the software.  :/

Glad I’m not the only one to have the package overdue section appear on the app. I’ve just found it when logging my unaddressed survey info.  I have 4 outstanding, one going back to August last year 2 for December and 1 for January, however I’ve been resting since December and all my postings were up to date.

On a totally different Mailagents topic ....

..... Anyone here involved in the Royal Mail Parcel Collection pilot testing ?
    Still no takers?

Major issues reporting that the one that I've done happened!

    Apparently I need a FIR !

    Tickets raised

My mum has been asked for a FIR and she’s not on the pilot testing, only send/receive and CDM, will raise a ticket even though they do not seem to be answered!

I think she must have selected the wrong option of COLLECTION in order to have been asked for the FIR

After a long and rather unsuccessful raising of tickets and some emails I eventually had a very positive response dealing with all the issues I had encountered and had wanted answers to.

The FIR issue I encountered should now have been resolved and as I suspected was for business customers only, but this should not apply to any of the usual posting methods that we've been doing since the start.

Today's incoming parcel was interesting in 2 ways:

    1) it contained a book I'm actually looking forward to reading.
    2) I had to log it as Other Postage as it had stamps on - a total of £11.55!  Which is way over what it should be for a Small Parcel even at 2kg maximum weight.  I'm guessing that the sender's franking machine was out of order and they just guessed at the weight/rate and shoved whatever they had onto the parcel.
Wow! I got one of those as well this week but it only had stamps on it to the value of £4.90 (which I think is still overpaid, but not to the same extreme levels!)

I had a couple to post out this week that came in the posting pack with way too much postage on them. 2 small parcels (just - jiffy bags barely over 2.5cm!) that had 6x 1st class stamps on them £8.10 in postage!

Was tempting to take off the excess really but I know the app often asks for the value...

I have to queue to get the manifest scanned. I’m then told to dump it on the pile in the corner. I do wonder what would happen if I just dumped it without getting the manifest scanned.

I've never queued at the Post Office. I just dump them in the york (cage) mine always has for the piles of parcels and hand the manifest to the first employee I see. Never had an issue, sometimes asked to put the bag somewhere else by staff but that's it. It takes staff 10 seconds max to deal with the manifest. All they need to do is scan it, and click a button on their computer, nothing else, they do it between customers.

I don't really care if the staff have a problem with it (in mine, they never have), they get paid for the items, what are they going to do, throw my parcels in the bin out of spite? If a customer in the queue gives me attitude as once happened I tell them I'm in a business customer and have priority.

The only members of staff are behind the counters. There is no one else to scan. I imagine if I dropped and ran I would get shouted at by someone behind the counter. There is no way of getting the manifest scanned and then attaching it to the sack without queueing. I'm always told to attach the manifest back to the parcel.

They get round to it eventually - my last ticket took about 2 weeks for reply.

    Whereas my usual procedure is:

    Give bag to counter staff.
They scan, put the bag in the cage, then ask what they are meant to do with the paper manifest.
I tell  them I don't have a clue and was expecting them to know.
We agree that they will keep it and I will take a photo of it  for my own records.
We shrug and repeat next time round, no idea what they do with it after I have gone. They certainly don't attach it to the bag.

FWIW though if we were genuinely sending parcels for ourselves if we don't keep the manifest we don't have any direct proof we have taken it in and I have wondered what would happen if the parcels went awol? Same with the parcel postboxes - no proof of postage at all.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I wonder when RM get paid. Is it when the manifest is scanned or when the parcels are scanned as they enter the system?
