  • ///I got two parcels today - each containing TWO books, if they are so short of books then why on earth are they sending two?///

It might be due to thickness. I had a single paperback book to post, it had parcel postage on it but it was actually thin enough to send as a Large Letter.

///This morning I received a missing posting pack for 2/5, it was a jiffy bag but I couldn't report receipt because it had the same ID as a previously received pack.///

Same here. When I tried to scan the barcode I got the message, "Package already reported".
And me as well....   My missing bundle for 3/5 arrived yesterday and HonestJohn was right - it was a mailbag.   App said already reported and on looking back - it's the same number as the pack for 4/5 which arrived on 18/4.    Which is why I logged a query in the first place;  the first time I scanned that number it asked if I had 2 bundles and I didn't.   No answer to the query but I'll send an e-mail to follow up.

And I want the 25 points!
    Snap!
20th April I logged a query as only 1 of 2 bundles allegedly enclosed was received.
Yesterday a Royal Mail special delivery containing mail sack which I was unable to report as it had same ID number as 20th April one.
    So I sent another query.

I got ones with 2 books in twice now. They ask you how it was delivered. You don't get the option of 'it came through the letterbox'.

I always use my nearest postbox as it is the most convenient and has the worst service. I’m hoping that RM will improve it if it continually affects results. It has a last post of 9am, so I post the previous afternoon. Not my fault if it is picked up too early.

I know it’s record is bad as I’m always getting Spectos messages to confirm when I posted plus occasionally the box is full.

I don't have an issue with Monday to Friday items currently as I go near a box with a late collection on those days.  If I have a Saturday item, my local box is a 7am collection (not a chance lol!), then I post it the afternoon before in a 9am collection box - after checking that the plate has been changed to Saturday.  Obviously this is not foolproof as sometimes they forget to change the plates, but its better than posting after 9am as my local boxes with early collections are not usually emptied until late morning. Spectos do want items posted before last collection on the stated date, unlike Kantar where we could post late so long as it was the same day, so this is the only way around it if you have an early collection box.

There were 3 posting variations with Kantar - AM, PM and before last collection. Most of mine were AM.
I prefer the Spectos way which makes more sense. The only issue with posting the day before is the accuracy of the box plate. One I have used has said Thursday on it the last 2 times I tried to use it on a Friday. Some of the new ones don't seem to have a plate.

My nearest box has a Thursday plate that hasn’t been changed for a t least 2 years.

Can I please just check something.
A lot of my local postboxes have changed to a early pick up.
I just post on the given day & record time correctly & that's ok.
    I have got this right?
This the reply I had from them after I asked the same question

    Thank you for your message.

Of course this is possible.  When collection time is listed 9am, you may post your items after 9am the day before.

    Kind regards

    Your mailagents team

This would not work if you posted them shortly after nine. The ones by me get emptied by the postman when doing their rounds. That is usually around 11.30 - 12.00 around here.  Quite often I would post mine in there about 10am. That would mean they would be collected the same day, a day too early. I tend to just avoid tose now wihich is getting more difficult as there are a lot of them.

‘My’ postbox is a daily 7.00 am collection. So I post into it the evening before.
    Thank you both.

Plates seem to change randomly  for me.  Bit it's across the road so I could post at midnight if I wanted to be sure.
I need to think of something new here...

Has anyone heard anything off spectos about the unaddressed survey disappearing? I have left a ticket questioning it, but haven't got anything back. I'm a bit p***ed off to be honest. I correctly logged all incoming for 3 weeks, then did a week and a day of any late items, then it was removed from my app and I didn't receive any points.
