Pfft! Fiddle Sticks, dirty lie more like!!

£16.50 to Ireland (guessing +VAT), when you can send £13.80 all in.

£33 to Portugal, when you can send for £20

Unless they offer discount to bulk customers of course??

Who do you use now out of interest?

I use parceltree for most of standard parcles at the moment. Buy 10+ will pay £4.30 + VAT each. They promise they will provide VAT receipt weekly.
I use Payperparcel for same day collection or expensive parcels. They have £100 insurance cover and 12:30 cut off time for same day collection.
I also use DPD for 24 hours delivery as parcelforce 24 is guarantee next day service, it neve let me down.
For european parcels, PPExpree or interparcel is good choice.

Any suggestions for a 1 metre square parcel weighing slightly under 40kg to the US? Am I better to split it in 2?

Had a tip off today that they are what was deal5direct.

They lasted about a month on ebay earlier in the year before disappearing with prices ranging from £5.55-5.95

I booked with an ebayer offering '24 hour' DHL service ... I've now been stuck at home for 3 days 9am-6pm waiting for a courier to arrive ... every day the seller gives me a different excuse ... :( I've had to switch work shifts with 5 different people for this. If no courier arrives within the next 1hr 30mins then it means I'll be spending tomorrow here as well!

I would have rather paid the £10 extra for Parcelforce and gone to work!

    Who?

You could always leave a note on your door saying 'parcels round the back', not guaranteed to work but I would save you a lot of hassle.

If you want 'almost' guaranteed collection I suggest use ppwexpress as their booking systems is automated with DHL, and is miles better than most who have to book everything manually.

I would like to know 'who' too so I don't use them

    On a similar note
Does anyone know if DPD are actually going to be up and running again on Monday?
Just that we were told the 20th, then the 27th and now it's the 30th :(

I'm a bit peed off with DPD to be honest
They told me that I could open an account after I had used them for 2 weeks then they promptly shut down the next day

  • Has anyone taken advantage of the discount offer from UK Courier Express that I posted about earlier?
I've used these guys a couple of times and so far I'm impressed.
Okay, they're a little bit more expensive but I have to say that their customer service is second to none. Jane is very helpful and has a wicked sense of humour :D
I've just applied for the discount and will now get my parcels for £7.12 UK mainland and £8.79 for Northern Ireland, offshore etc. all inclusive
