Gets weirder by the day. Apparently Lisa, who went to work for one of ppwexpress's "biggest competitors" after packing up a little more than she should from her desk, has now used said info to email everyone ads for the new company.
Which is weird, as only a couple days ago I got one from the well respected PayPerParcel, whom have also recently dropped their charges in line with ppwexpress. I can't say it's a definite link, as I've got an account and email registered with PPP and I'm actually quite pleased they emailed me about the price drop, but it does seem a little strange. What's everyone else think? Who knew the courier business was so full of mystery and intrigue :j:D:cool:
I received the same email from ppwexpress.
Paul wants everyone who received the email to forward it to him.
I'm unlikely to do that seeing as their customers have been treat so shoddily.
PPwexpress have nobody to blame but themselves if they're losing customers.
They should have thought about that before they hiked their prices from £4.95 to £6.95 in a matter of a few weeks.
The email from ppwexpress starts off by saying:I am taking this opportunity to update you on our current situation- The refunds are being processed and should be done by Sunday evening
- The VAT invoices requested are being processed and should be done by Monday
- The claims should be completed by next Friday
Which suggests that they are grovelling to get their customers back.
Too little too late IMO.
All of the above should have been done as a matter of course and not just because they are fighting to get their customers back.
Personally, I don't need an email from another company to make me look elsewhere. I did that as soon as ppwexpress hiked their prices.
Strangely enough, their site is down againI hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0 -

Prices must be going up again! Talk about hyperinflation!:rotfl:
Totally agree Red, the price hikes are rediculous. We're sending around 40 a week so its a huge hike. Who are you using now and how many you sending a week? DirectParcelDelivery?0 -

I send 40/50 per week Armitage.
I've just looked at payperparcel. They state that the maximum weight is 31.6kgs but they don't state a max. size.
Thinking that the max. size would be 120x60x60 (as most are) I entered 31kgs, 120x60x60 and I got quoted a whopping £38.72 for 2-4 day service and £39.35 for 1-2 day service:eek:I hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0 -
I've just looked at DirectParcelDelivery again too but for all they say on the home page that they now accept Paypal as well as Nochex, the order page takes you straight to Nochex Checkout with no paypal optionI hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0

I agree Nochex is a pain in the back side, but I suppose as a seller I hate PayPal!
I emailed DPD a few weeks back and they said they would do it for £5.50 but would need to see you using the £6 service regularly first.
Im going to give PPWE I ring and see if they'll cut me a deal, bacause we won't be using them at their new prices thats for sure!
I just tried payperparcel and I think once it get into to20kgs it goes up to silly prices. Might try them as well and see if they'll do a deal.
What confuses me is how PPWE expect to keep any of their larger customers like us, fair enough a person just sending the odd parcel is still going to use them, but the larger volume users are going to desert them in a flash. Just had a look in my PPP at the order numbers and you see they're order numbers are going down.0 -
It's such a shame that Nochex isn't as popular as Paypal with buyersI hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0
