was that normal price or yellow sticker? Marks is often surprisingly good value for some things. Butter still seems to be cheaper there than LidlIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!5

Marks & Spencer sign quite long contracts with their suppliers, so are much more cushioned on price rises than the other supermarkets.5

We've just had a Grape Tree open in our town centre and I price checked the ground flax seed against Aldi. Aldi is £6+ a kilo in a small pack, and GT is £5 for a 1 kilo pack. Based on this I suspect their sunflower seeds will also be cheaper, something I use a lot of.5

New to this thread but will add my two pennorth anyway. My 16 year old dog has recently been diagnosed with pancreatitis so vet reccomended Royal Canin low fat tinned food - £34 for 12 cans is the cheapest I can find so did a bit of research and found Chappie £7 for 6 cans s also low fat so with vet agreement guess what she is having now. She has never been fussy but in the last few months is getting quite particular in what she will eat. People are giving up their pets due to the rising costs and rescues are becoming overwhelmed with the numbers. I cant remember who said about insurance costs but I have recently been paying for £127 per month for our collie who was recently PTS and am currently paying £75 for ourJack Russell. Peopele need to realise that having companion animals is an expensive hobby and the cost and time they needshould be made clearer before they buy/ adopt them. With regard to empty shelves the supermarkets seem to take it in turns as to who has the least stock. I shop at at Sainsbury, Teso, Aldi and occasionally Lidl and Morrisons. I find Morrisons very expensive the others vary according to special offers etc.7

Until a few months ago Chappie was to be had @65 pence per tin then it shot up to £1.25.
Price increase by US manufacturers Mars. My understanding is that Tesco for example are boycotting selling it.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Chappie available in Morrisons @ £1.25 per tin
Wilko has mixed case- 6 for £6
I have to use C.Original otherwise Wilko would be a good buy- IF it is store.
Sadly, since pandemic you can no longer have goods delivered to the store at all- that used to be free. Now a delivery chargeBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

@ladyholly I am sure I have seen chappie in asda at £22 for 24 cans.
Ocado also have it and they definitely do money off and free delivery for a first shop
I'm not sure if asda do vouchers for first home delivery, but may be worth stocking up and money off voucher.
Hope that helps.
