The wet food is where I struggle tried .any own brand versions occasionally he eat sainsbury if starving but really ots 1 carton ceaser only chicken and turkey.
Used to be able to buy one below 59p then they stopped getting that variety and upped to 69p.
B& M next door used be 65p then went upto 79p which I got as was better than £1 morrisions or £1.20 sainsbury but intermittent supply and even my local corner shop said hes struggling order it In for me and food inflation way above 14% news says it is.
Morrisions used to do 5 for £3 and coop 3 for£2 those deals long gone.
I hate the Aldi price match.
I used to be very loyal to lidls and aldi then start of the year realised not all common basics were cheaper in big tesco
Value squash
Cereals gone up too .
Carton drinks for lunch boxes were 40p now same ones price matches with aldi in September to 68p aldi price so 28p rise.

Our dog is a rescue sighthound who will eat anything and does lol. The cats are also rescues and have a combination of Sheba/Gourmet Perle and YS fish/meat. Rescue pigeon get a mix of corn, Trill and sunflower hearts.
These animals are my family and if I have to make a sacrifice to keep them fit and healthy I will.10 -
Aldi's throws (which are a really good product btw) have gone up - the double sized used to be less than £20 and are now £35. I'm pleased I have bought so many as impulse buys when they were reduced to something very affordable, they keep me nice and warm in the cold and easily washed.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
We are having trouble getting cat food here - no cans of branded cat food at all on the shelves in the three places we usually shop. Out of stock on the order sites. May have to go with entirely dry food - and having two unhappy indoor cats and two unhappy feral cats. It has been a couple of weeks of bare shelves. Only a couple of cans of the store's own brand in one shop - none in the others. Someone mentioned pilchards and sardines for cats if necessary - does anyone have some ideas.
We finally got our husky to eat a certain type of food, moist in pouches, after she refused 12 different brands of canned dog food, and then it was missing in the stores also. Found a slightly more expensive brand she will eat and ordered enough for the next month. But those have been missing on the shelves also so I am glad I stocked up. Our prices are going up so fast also - I keep telling people it is a world-wide thing - not just a local problem. But they all seem to want to blame it on the current politicians. I don't think replacing them will help here.7 -

About cat and dog food look up raw feeder suppliers . I get 500g for 95p it’s a perfectly balanced 80% meat 20% bone 20% organ meat. And they deliver, need freezer space tho.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.4

The wretched Aldi & Lidl price match has now just turned into an excuse for none of them to have any incentive to try to be cheaper any more hasn't it! Now they all know they're safe to put prices up because all the others will immediately match that price because they know they can get away with it! Frustrating that it's now being used exactly in the opposite way to how it was originally intended!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
