Even with my main account I hardly use the debit card preferring to use the CC which gives me teeny reward and then only one payment as a DD once a month. I might struggle to find 5 let alone 30!

I reckon TSB must think that a 'main'account should involve that many transactions.seems a bit OTT
What CC would you use say if you were buying a daily coffee priced at £2.75? And what is the reward they offer? a percentage of the transaction in  cashback or something else?
I don't buy anything as small as that so can't help.
My Tesco card gives a measly 1 point on £8 spend but better than nowt- and I always use Tesco boost thing to buy ferry tickets rather than money off in store so at present that equates with 3 pence.

  • Anyone else still hasn't received their cashback? Seems like payday was 09/12, did anyone receive it on a different date?
Not had mine yet. only had one of my DD actually pay out during the period required but had 3 'active'. so I'll wait till tomorrow and get on to them to ask why if I don't get it.

I've not had mine but I used the link in a forum post and I'm not sure that this was the correct one to follow.

Wasn't asking for myself. Apologise profusely for any confusion.

I was just wondering if there was any competition to tsb's  £5 for 6 months= £30 +  £55 (switch extra bonus) =  Total earned £85, if one was to buy a coffee daily during a commute for example.

I'm aware that some credit cards offer Cashback. With some offering Cashback at a higher rate during promotional period. E.g. first three months of opening account.  Don't know if they can beat the £5 for 6 months, or £55 (switch extra bonus), or the combined total earned £85, buying something small as a coffee every day (I realize it's not just coffee, we'd be buying train tickets etc - if staff wasn't on strike 😆)

The likes of chase debit card offer the round-ups feature, which I've used quite a bit. Can get good returns with the 5% interest. With a £2.75 payment though, only £0.25 gets rounded up.

Had I been buying a daily coffee, I'd probably still opt for the 30 transactions using tsb debit card, as I don't think the other competition can beat it.
  • Still no payment of £125. I wonder if my Amazon credit card DD was the reason? I do use it most months including this month and last. But not the previous month. This was one of the two DD I used when I switched to Nationwide earlier last year and it was ok for them. Their definition of an active DD is one paid monthly or regularly. So I would have hoped the Amazon one would have fitted into that. Perhaps for TSB it doesn’t?

  • What is the best way to contact TSB to query the lack of payment of this switching offer. I tried the chat option on the app but that couldn’t understand it.Being AI not a human! Which phone is best seeing as most of these aren’t human either!

Don't know if this is the number you want- googled switch team and this was kind of buried in the info. Might be worth a try!
