I've posted this before but I've been doing 30 x 2p debit card transactions to my water company every month. TSB have paid the £5 in November and December (for the 30 transactions in October and November) so haven't had any issues. Might be useful for those that want a low transaction.

Amazon at £1.00 top up is the alternative I'd use but it obviously only useful if people use amazon.
  • Anyone got the £125 yet who only had active DD on account and not paid out DD? My Mrs got her bonus but had 2 DD paid out , not got mine yet but I only had one of my 3 active DD paid out. I know they have a few days left to pay it if they're going to.
I had a bunch of DD's transfered with the switch (about 10). None of them had paid out after account switch to tsb. Is that what you're asking?

The £125 bonus was still paid.
Yeah. Cheers, I had 3 active DD transferred over but only one of them paid out of new TSB account. By your example, I should still get the £125 , I'll keep an eye out, got 4 days left to pay up.

    Fine
I have misunderstood: sorry folks, I apologise profusely.
Put it down to cold brain!

I see now you can have both the 30 debits per month = £5 for 6 months= £30
You can also have 5 debits (included in the 30 above) = £55 (switch extra bonus)
    Total earned = £85

    Is that correct?

I won't be doing either! because I shall be abroad in that  6 month period so unable to make debit card payments...........

    mea culpa

You can buy 10p amazon gift cards, then add them to your own amazon account.

Amazing! Thanks for this...I'd wrongly thought the minimum was £1 for this as for the top ups. Useful tip since there are members of my household who think if there's Amazon credit then everything is free 😂

Thanks, that's good to know! I was using the auto top-up which started at £1. Useful as an alternative in case my utility supplier starts blocking 2p payment ha!

Thank you for the apology and owning up to your mistake.

I think with the amount of forumites you've helped over the years, a slip up now and then is allowed  :) You're human after all!

I remember reading a post recently that said a forumites ego can be judged by the number of posts they've made.  You've just proved them wrong. Ego = 0, humility = 1.

If you have access to a company discount scheme, check whether they offer instant reloadable vouchers

Different schemes offer these for different companies - mine for Tesco, Sainsbury and ASDA.  Minimum reload is £1, but I easily spend £50 a month at Tescos, and the 4% discount is a welcome bonus. All vouchers can be used online and in store, but the Tesco one only in store. Test out that it all works for you before you load lots of money on the voucher!

I think similar works with instant reloadable cards, and there is a much larger selection of retailers for those. I just prefer to have everything electronically so haven’t checked those.

  • Anyone else still hasn't received their cashback? Seems like payday was 09/12, did anyone receive it on a different date?

No sign of mine yet. Though the date due by for me was this Friday 16th. Though it does look as if others got it earlier! So keeping my fingers crossed.
