Via MSE or Money Supermarket only.

£125 upfront, plus £55 if you stay:

    https://www.tsb.co.uk/affiliate-switch-landing-page/
The small print on that 'landing page' does say:
*You must make sure cookies are enabled before you click through to tsb.co.uk, start your application, and right through until we tell you whether your application is successful. If your cookies weren’t enabled prior to reaching this page, please return to the introducer website, enable cookies and then click the TSB link. Do not clear your cache before completing your application. Otherwise, TSB won’t be able to track the application and therefore unable to pay your cashback.

So, there's emphasis on the use of cookies and introducer website.

Best use the link below then click on the 'TSB Spend & Save*' link within that webpage

Guys  just be aware. To be eligible you will need to apply from  MoneySuperMarket or Money Saving Expert. The link is here
    TSB offers £180 account switching
    • Receive £180 by switching to a TSB current account
    • Offer available from today until 31 October 2022
From today, customers who open a new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus current
account will receive £180 paid in two instalments*. Applications must be made through
MoneySuperMarket or Money Saving Expert and the offer runs until 31 October 2022.
So even-though I manage to convert one of my Classic Plus account to become  Spend & Save I opened a new one again today using the link above and have initiated switching.
It is very painful, it took me about 30 minutes to apply the worst online application that I have ever experienced, they suddenly crash and you will need to restart from the scratch again.
I do not know other people experience but they ask you to create a new login credential. When you try to use the existing login, there was  be a message login name already exist. I already know when there is another switching I already know which one to switch.

Yes, that's normal. Your new account will not be visible via your old UserID. Eventually, they are supposed to merge the two.

If correct, this will lead to quite a few instances of missed cashback!

It is not just on MSE site but it is also on their Switching TCs. Let see whether the system will apply   this rules or be able to recognise that you are directed from MSE, MSM websites.

It is annoying that many offers like this don't give any indication if they are tracking correctly or not, e.g a welcome email confirming that you have signed up via the MSE cashback offer.

At least with cashback sites, the referral tracks within a few days (still may not pay out), so you know if the first hurdle was cleared.
  • Unfortunately I went from the affiliate link in the very first thread post rather than the MSE link so I guess I'll find out in December if that worked :'(

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."
  • Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, but to qualify for the extra £55 in June 2023 do the 5 debit card payments per month have to be actual purchases, or can they be standing orders?

    The Ts&Cs say:

"6. make at least 5 debit card payments per month (excluding cash withdrawals and bill payments made in a TSB branch"

    Thanks.

No, you need to make actual debit card transactions (ie. physically use your card somewhere, or use your debit card number to make purchases online). A standing order won't count for this

But remember many savings accounts let you pay into them by debit card online, so you can just make 5 debit card deposits into a savings account if you wanted to.
