Wondering if anyone had any issues with their switch incentive? I've been in excess of 10 working days no incentive. 2 DDs full switched as per eligibility. No account or offer gained since aug 2021.
Spoke to online chat they said I qualify and would raise a query with switch team. Nothing back.
Did it again 2 days later still no response from switch team when agent chased.
Rang complaints team to make it formal yesterday and they said I'd have it within 5 days. I had it paid today and apology from my local branch. Was a nice touch to be fair, they said my switch got cancelled due to an 'admin error' but it got reinstated. I guess the cancellation scuppered the usual automagic payment of switch incentive? All resolved now and kudos to the complaints team but just wondered if this was an isolated issue or more common?
Cba to read the last few pages
My switch date stuttered, first they said 18th then delayed until 20th. It didn't actually happen until 21st October. Had to wait until today for the incentive to be paid after i gave them a nudge with a message asking if i qualified for it. Whether it was the message that did it who knows but I've still not had a reply to the message neither a text confirming anything apart from my new account is now open and all the documents via email.
Still the money has arrived 👍

I am actually a customer of theirs too, of 7 years with a savings account so not much hoop jumping.
  • It still isn't clear if you can swap your sole account to nationwide sole account, and your joint account to nationwide joint account and get the bonus twice.
i.e. £200 for sole account switch and £200 for joint account switch.
The T&Cs seem to contradict each other as says you can do one sole and one joint, but then later says you can only receive the £200 once.
Anyone got any previous on this or know the answer?

I realise we would not both get £200 for the joint about switch it would just be a single £200. But can you also both get the bonus for a sole account. Therefore £200 each for sole acounts and £200 between you for the joint account. Therefore £600 in total?

We already have individual and joint Nationwide accounts to switch into
Yes, that is my interpretation as I said above. But as I also said, I took the additional precaution of ensuring each switch goes into a separate NW account. That may not be necessary. OTOH, I could be wrong and we won't get £600. I should know by the end of next week.

My switch to NW completed yesterday and funds were transferred. Test and email received confirm switch.
Can anyone tell me when (or if) I will see the TSB account closed ?
Has anyone received £200 for joint and £200 for sole account switch? I’m still confused weather this is possible?
  • I won't know for a while yet. My switches have not yet completed.

Joint switch completed last week and bonus received. Two sole switches completed two days ago. Still waiting, but the T&Cs say, "This offer is only valid on the first sole current account and first joint current account you have switched to us since 18 August 2021...". As I read that, if the intention was to only allow a single joint or sole account switch to qualify, the "and" that I have bolded should be "or".

and text message just received to say that at least one of the sole AC switches qualifies for the bonus, so that's one sole and one joint for me, just awaiting confirmation on the second sole for Mrs D, which is switching in to a different NW account.

    All three x £200 received.
  • Morning.
I have a question about opening this account- do I need to pick a full swich / close the old account when applying for this account to get the £200? Or is there a chance of just opening this account and set up 2 direct debits to get the reward?
I'm trying to help my DD to set this up but she would have issues if her current account got shut. TIA

Read the full T&C that are linked to in the 4th post of this thread. They are pretty unambiguous. You have to swap & close the old account and you have to transfer at least 2 pre-existing DDs from the old account.

My switch has started and I can see my ‘payees’ have gone across from Halifax to the account but not my 2 direct debits yet!

Does it take a few days into the switch for that to happen or should I start to panic?
