A DD can be live even if no money is coming out, as far as I can tell through conversations with bank and DD people,
I had one with a B bank Credit card that I had but was not using and it counted in a switch I made.

Well I was about to give up on this £200 switch offer, switch completed 20th October. Absolutely nothing heard from them, still nothing today but the £200 has now landed in my account this lunchtime.👍
I fired off an in app message last weekend asking nicely where's the dosh, they haven't replied to it be hey ho the money has landed.0 -
Am I being over-cautious by waiting for new DDs to pay out at least once in my shiny, new (soon to be ex-) Starling account before starting the swap to Nationwide? Just worried in case they shutter the deal in the next few days.0

as long as DD's are showing its all good to go. don't have to have paid out. source of info? me and my family4

Wondering if anyone had any issues with their switch incentive? I've been in excess of 10 working days no incentive. 2 DDs full switched as per eligibility. No account or offer gained since aug 2021.
Spoke to online chat they said I qualify and would raise a query with switch team. Nothing back.
Did it again 2 days later still no response from switch team when agent chased.
Rang complaints team to make it formal yesterday and they said I'd have it within 5 days. I had it paid today and apology from my local branch. Was a nice touch to be fair, they said my switch got cancelled due to an 'admin error' but it got reinstated. I guess the cancellation scuppered the usual automagic payment of switch incentive? All resolved now and kudos to the complaints team but just wondered if this was an isolated issue or more common?
