Jenny I'm told they search handbags these days, not sure if for alcohol or weapons!

Times have changed, would never have occurred to me about weapons at a staff Xmas party, I was just thinking about a half bottle of Gin or Voddy... or a Panda pop bottle full of plonk.

  • Unsure if this will help anyone, ukhotdeals have a £15 off a morries shop for delivery by the 27th (2.00 cheapest delivery), £60 spend so a potential £13 off.  I have ordered meat, (well chicken, turkey and fish) but it fills me up.

Have bought a turkey for the freezer, Mr P. is quite excited as it's a mock Xmas dinner for January.

Unsure if allowed to post this, but may help someone / stock up?

All expenses paid by the lovely boss! I did contemplate sneaking booze into last weeks party though... wish I had, so expensive these days!

I've never had my bag searched anywhere other than a nightclub x

Haaaa, Well I used to pack it away, drinks after work on Fridays, it was a bit of a joke with the people I worked with about 'who could get the 'biggest bottle' in the posh hotel!

For our Christmas party drinks used to be subsidised....  office bases Cardiff / Glasgow posh hotel prices so £££££ for a few rounds, £30 does not go that far, (stressful job), colleagues would have bankrupted the place had it been free.  I once caught a couple of my team on a free night out ordering quadruple shorts.

Yes, lovely boss, not many of them left these days.

      • STS Please Brambling.

1 Week left, a couple of extra pounds off would be nice for the gin and ice cream fund.

I stopped the husband opening a tub of chocolate at the weekend, once they are open fingers will go in, seeing all the food and 'treats' in the shops I will be glad to get away from the temptations.

        Have a good week everyone.

This quarter seems to be a slow one, myself included 😬 I'm not holding my breathe on losing much before the end of year.
