I hope the meter has been as scatty for them as it has been for me. If not, it looks like I'll be paying for those 400+ units that I "used" in August.0 -
I've just spoken to somebody at Bulb who said that the results of the MAT appear to be in...
...but that she is unable to access them.
It could take 24 hours, apparently, for her to be able to view them. I've asked that she attempts to do so by close of play today, and also queried why I haven't also been notified.
Oh, the suspense.3 -

Hi,could be that Bulb got report by email, unless MAT have your email then you will have to wait for your copy by post.2

Ah. So apparently the meter may have to "sit in storage for 30 days or so" before testing.
But of course.

I live in a 2 bed flat 1st floor, someone below me no one above, she hardly has her gas on. When I first moved in I checked the agents meter readings they had given me, they didn't match my own, it transpired they had the wrong meter, I wondered if the previous client was paying someone else's bill. I rang the supplier to confirm which meter, there is a barcode on a meter that is issued to an address when fitted. The smart meters didn't work because I was getting estimated bills, I complained to the supplier and got it all sorted. I'm a very low user too my October gas was 36 cubic meters, despite it having pre heat every 90 minutes that cannot be switched off. I've taken to only switching the boiler on at the wall when I need it. Regarding your inquiry you mention they can't fit a smart meter in the ground, if that means in one of the ground level brown boxes thats a lie I have one, was with SSE now OVO. I can check my usage at every half our of the day Gas and Electric.1

Thanks for this. Yep, Bulb said they couldn't fit a smart meter but lo and behold when the dodgy one was taken for testing the engineer stuck a new one in as replacement with no bother.MikeJXE said:I live in a 2 bed flat 1st floor, someone below me no one above, she hardly has her gas on. I'm pretty certain that my supply isn't crossed with my neighbour, but that my 'legacy' meter is faulty.0 -
Gas meters that record usage by the way of ultrasonic sensors have to go in to quarantine for 28 days when the meter is received by SGS. This is to check for incrementation i.e. does the meter advance on its own. If the reading goes up by even 0.001 of a unit during quarantine then the meter will be deemed too defective to test. I strongly suspect this will be your outcome.rjmiller said:Ah. So apparently the meter may have to "sit in storage for 30 days or so" before testing.
