We're on the move. I make this 1 unit in 48 hours (99999 to 00000).
That's a promising start! Just hope you don't use 20 units in the next 6 hours ...

You need to set up a live stream web cam and a mechanical finger to press the button every few minutes. Post a link to the feed, and we can all join you in watching the digits rack up :D

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

really what you need to do now is wait and gather your evidence together. we dont know whats what yet and the longer you have the new meter then the longer you can build your case that there was something wrong with the other meter.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

Join the club. Though in this house the IHD is the centre of attention for husband & son. My time is split between Octopus, Bright & Tapo apps, and this forum😂
Substitute Bright for Solar Edge and I'm the same.

Do you have one of those 'CAD' boxes Bright sell? I signed up for the free service but it doesn't seem to have any more up to date info than the Octopus app unless I'm missing something?

3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux

It allows you to recover and store your data via MQTT. The very clever guy who owns AAISP has just written a blog article about it:

Absolutely. Setting up my spreadsheet as we speak. I took daily readings from the start of this 'situation' with the occasional note, such as "+15 units overnight - HOW?"

I'll continue doing this but with a short overview of if I've had the heating on etc.

I also record the minimum overnight temperature outside in my spreadsheet, thanks to a suitable gadget! Then I can show how gas usage is inversely proportional to outside temperature. Who would have guessed?  ;)

That’s great that you already have information that shows spurious overnight readings, which are not replicated with the new meter. If you have dated photos as well it will help you build up your case.

Yup, a reading and accompanying photo per day over the last month. Sometimes multiple photos a day when the readings are questionable!

I have absolutely no idea what any of that means, so I clearly don’t have a CAD box & suspect I’ve reached the end of my data search road😊
