    This morning's reading 99999.852

Yesterday's was 99999.000 so there is movement. Between the two readings I've used the hob, had a blast of heating and a couple of showers.

I really hope this allows me to see my actual usage over a couple of weeks.

  • That sounds proportionate with use then - hopefully good news!

If you get a certificate that states the meter was registering without passing gas you'll need to negotiate with your supplier about fair useage.

That's a promising start! Just hope you don't use 20 units in the next 6 hours ...

Looking good then. Hopefully Bulb will get back to you confirming the old meter is faulty. Then they have to figure out what past usage to charge you for. Gas usage is so seasonal when you have central heating that is is not really possible to estimate usage through the summer months based on winter usage.

Glad that one appears to be working fine.

We're all waiting for your update on the old meter results, hopefully they won't take too long.

The pessimist in me doesn't think this is over, but fingers crossed.

"Two weeks but upto a month for this meter" apparently. The sooner the better of course but if nowt else at least I can monitor actual usage in this period.
