I can do November, if you like8
-
Bit of a busy day today. Did some shopping to replace some of the food we lost but I have Himself under strict control. Getting things back to normal slowly. Bedding changed and all washed (still drying upstairs), more soup made and a good bit of tidying/cleaning done.
Himself is still way below par but can't get an appointment with the doctor for another three weeks by which time he'll probably be feeling Ok and will cancel. It really is a worry. He can't really help me move anything heavy at the moment so I'm going to have to rely on the Boy (when he has the time) or find a way myself.
Still, things are better than they were a week ago so we have to be positive,

Stupid question, Greent. do you just cut the pizza into slices with kitchen scissors? I find pizza wheel cutters the most annoying things in the world. They just never seem to work and I end up getting out a big bread knife.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11

Today I am grateful for getting just so much stuff done out and about, for a dry day, for the people who dealt with dc at the opticians, for DH having some extra work, for all you turtles out there.

Hello, I'm so glad this thread is still going. I sunk into an even deeper hole but started digging myself out AGAIN. Not going to say last time etc just focusing on getting back up after falling again. Anyway, would be great if I could join again for November.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259

Evening turtles, not half term here until next week.
Outside - Only to bring bins in.
Inside - Worked from home. Put washing out on airer.
Fun - Non really today although had ds parents evening & he is doing brilliantly.
Food / alcohol - Good food, had roast dinner, no alcohol.
Read - None
Plan for December - Scared myself silly planning Novembers budget now household budget needs to be covered. I am going to struggle continuing over paying my debt. After all bills & pots replenished on pay day, I will have £71. I then need £100 worth of birthday presents for family & friends!! I’ve over committed to festive nights out and activities. So I’ve cut that down a bit & will just have the ones with ds & will have to keep as cheap as possible.
NSD - Didn’t spend anything today so 12/15 and still have a week until payday but nothing left to spend, even then it feels I’ll be treading water for November.
MSE - Kept heating off. Started planning November budget.
Gratitude - DS doing so well in school, work calming down a bit. Good food.

Evening turtles
Quick catch up today as not much to report. Worked from home, had a relatively quiet day so got the chance to do some batch cooking just before lunch so we're set for the rest of the week.
Cycled to my friend's house first thing to walk her dog and also did yoga at lunchtime so got my exercise in.
Been for a massage this evening so have spent but it was a planned spend.11 -

Rainy day for much of today so heated airers have been on for laundry - with added bonus the house is very warm as a result 😀 Nipped out during a dry spell and fed the ducks and swans on the canal. Watched the squirrel in the garden. Had leftovers for dinner
Listed some things on fbook mktplace - no takers yet. Will list some more things (very different ones) tomorrow or Weds. Have 2 bags of things to drop at CS some time this week and another bag on the go (most of it is things I rescued from work)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209 -
Very tired but happy with my progress. Thinking about what I want to get done every time I go to the bathroom and including as many extra bits as possible seems to be working. I used the shower head to massage my aching joints and sprayed a couple of the grab handles whilst I was waiting for the water to get warm. Actively thinking about whether I can manage a shower rather than waiting until I feel like it - I'm getting the shower out of the way much earlier and it's working for regular CPAP mask cleaning as well.
Spent several hours downstairs today. Took 4 bags down with me, gave 3 (rubbish, paper and cans and bottles) to DS3 to add his stuff whilst I put my lunch in the oven and microwaved some soup to drink. He had collected a bag of paper yesterday so I took 3 full bags out to the bins and told him to make a pizza box pile and bring it to the back door for me.
I've cut up 2 bags worth of tree bits (too wet to do much more - the only place I could sit was uncomfortable as well as wet). Found a garden gauntlet so will pull some nettles up tomorrow. Have done loads of washing up - 3 bags emptied, plus stuff in and around the sink and some things that have been through the DW cycle twice but still have a residue. The dish rack and draining board are full and I deliberately stacked as much as I could. 3 more bags to the bins (swept all the bits that were under and behind furniture once DS3 had gone to bed), rounded up stray cans and bottles plus the tin cans that had been rinsed).
Some good news. Received a letter about my PIP - they've reconsidered and I'm getting the higher rate for mobility in addition to the money for daily needs. My weekly income is now better than it's been for at least 5 years, probably longer. They also sent me a leaflet about claiming disabled person's car tax - I think I'm officially disabled (well there may be another form to fill in). I need to get back onto Transport for Greater Manchester because I should now be eligible for the bus pass (oh joy, a bus pass of my very own).
I'd already checked my bank account as I withdrew cash yesterday and I had more money than expected - that was the arrears of mobility backdated to April. Feel as though I can relax a bit now.
Going to sleep soon - last week there were 2 days when I was asleep by 7.30 pm and 6.30 pm (a day when I never seemed to properly wake up.
Grateful for DWP capitulating, money in the bank (need to organise workmen), a lovely meal, having a plan (moving stuff around - think the 2 remaining lights in the kitchen are going, too gloomy to do any more in the kitchen after 6 pm))
