NST OCTOBER 2022: Autumn Leaves and Sloe Berries

Best wishes @Thrifty_TaylorIt’s been a soggy day here today but lots of organising!
Outside - Took dog out for a very wet walk this morning got soaked but very refreshing! Also walked up the road to see my parents.
Inside - Heating on at 20. Wanted to iron tonight but clothes haven’t dried on the maiden.
Fun - my fun for today was working out a plan to clear my cc debt. I’ve got a solution but need to hang on until 1st November and it will cost me £43. However I’m saving £12 a month as ds has stopped attending scouts. So I’ll pay that off & will overpay cc a bit more too. I’m considering the bank switch bonus but I’m really happy with my current account and have all my pots set up so will ponder that a bit. Planned to meet up with a friend end of November.
Food / alcohol - Healthy day. Cereal, soup & then more soup! No alcohol again today.
Read - Am about to
Plan for December - I’ve made a plan of things to do each Wednesday and to be done by the following Wednesday. I do this each year and it works for me. It’s ds birthday in December and we go to centre parcs too so I try to get everything organised by 1st December. Messaged a friend who I meet up with a couple of times a year. She has a birthday in December so I have arranged a meet up & allocated a day to buy her gifts.
NSD - Today was one so now 4/15
MSE - Completed surveys for Hyperjar & yougov. Claimed payout from tcb and tried to work out what to do with zipzer0 to unlock my money.
We are away for the weekend for our anniversary. When I visited my parents they gave ds some spending money & us money for a meal out which will help out so much!
Gratitude - Excel helping me plan my debt, generous parents, DH taking ds to footy in the rain.
Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2609 -
I just opened another current account online with my bank (I
my current bank's online banking and would rather not leave them) and set up 2 x £2 a month charity donation D.D's I will wait until they show up on the d.d list and then apply to switch it. I will have £200 before Xmas, and it is for charity.... DH did one as well, so £400 ..... just an idea.

Today I am grateful for a good walk in a windy but mild day, for my basil and rosemary cuttings sprouting some rootlets, for needing far fewer balm tissues, for dc recognizing some of my knitting as an elf(!), for bumping into a couple of neighbours and having a good chat.

Woo hoo @ditty1234! 📳🎉
Would be happy to do your zips @Shrewbie if you were closer 😊
Thank you all for your good wishes.Managed to have a half hour nap at lunchtime, then had my scans. Decided to go exploring, so used g00gle maps & trekked out to Duthie Park & back. My phone battery conked out on the way back (I was walking faster just in case!), but luckily I was down the road & round the corner from the hospital, so I didn't get lost 😃 Went to claim my free meal, but they'd run out of hot food. Did offer a baked tattie, which I accepted - pity it was only lukewarm. Was so hungry that I ate it anyway. Was pleased to take my shoes off, after all my walking. Have flopped on my bed ever since! Wrote a long overdue letter & messaged friends. My brother & his family have now arrived from Durham, so will see them tomorrow.
Grateful for not getting lost, helpful pedestrians, enjoying pressing a penny in a machine to get it stamped with Duthie Park, a pretty darkening sky with city lights landscape (which I'm not used to), my brother & co arriving safely, tests going smoothlyUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Glad it went smoothly with tests @Thrifty_Taylor
WednesdayStayed on NSD 2 as had to do a small top-up shop.Worked from a local cafe with OH which was a nice change of scenery. Also got a lot of work done.
Was sad to hear that two of my team are leaving for other jobs. Get on well with them both and will miss them.OH was at a football game last night so I was in bed not long after DS was down. Read my book for an hour and then lights out.Grateful for a productive morning, OH making soup for lunch, and an early night.

If anyone knows why I have just found half a litre of soya milk in my freezer drawer (it was not there when I went to bed) could they please let me know. I am starting to think we have unknown-about lodgers in the loft space.....Either that or someone is sleepwalking....4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning!
Absent yesterday due to oversleeping, so have just caught up on all the threads. I have an ear infection which has left me completely deaf in my left ear! It's so frustrating! I'm hoping it will clear soon.
Outside Nothing yesterday - have prioritised this and booked it in my work diary today for 10am.
Inside Gravel mulch arrived so I sprinkled this over my plants. Seems to be working a bit already.
Fun Nope. Suggested lunch out to OH as we don't do anything together anymore and got a shocked "I thought we were cutting back look" He's right and I've trained him to do this, but it still felt like a rejection. Booked myself on a sound bath tonight. That's my idea of fun these days!
Food/Drink Still AF but still failing on the sugar front.
Read Enjoying listening to Mo Gawdat "Solve for happy". Especially like seeing my self as an "observer" and telling my brain to "bring me a happy thought" when those pesky negative ones pop in.
Plan 4 Dec still can't think about this yet...although liking to idea of £200 towards it by switching bank accounts....
Gratitudes being able to help DD2 with her maths revision for another exam today.
Yoga/Meditation Bodybalance Tuesday night and Yoga last night. Feeling loads better in my body for it. Off to a sound bath tonight. So looking forward to that!
Spending Still on NSD 1/10. Got to get to 2 today.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!

It rained heavily yesterday so we didn't get very far but on the plus side another NSD (No 4) and I finished my book.
The Boy arrived last night to drive us home on Saturday. Unfortunately he's having to work from here today but he's hoping he can take tomorrow off. No NSD today. I've promised to take him out to the local pub for dinner.
The sun's shining just now but it is so windy. Still, I hope to get out for a little bit of a walk.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
CMD79 said:Open a Monzo 'burner' account and set up 2 direct debits. Once the DDs are set-up, switch to Nationwide for a tidy £200 and 5%!! Check the pay in requirement, but if there is one you can pay in and take out again anyway...Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳.
