Good morning 😊
The LR has been put back as it should be as the carpet is now dry. Can someone remind me why we have cats??! I have spent £££ on getting the carpet cleaned, and the kitten p00ped on it this morning 🤬 Luckily, after the recent vet trip and changing her food, it is an easy clean up, but still flippin annoying!! She also wees in random places? Any tips from other cat owners? Our old cat used to do this, but the vet said she was senile. This one is 4 months old!!
Also the WM is playing up 😭 Not spinning/draining properly and taking ages. I need to g00gle to see if it's an easy/cheap fix or if it is more sensible to replace it. It is probably at least 5 or 6 years old.
Have a good day everyone 😁9 -
The doormats are in the wash, laundry is on the line and babes away to school.
I have a few spare braves today, most unusual for me, but please help yourselves xx

I seem to be ill. I don't do ill. It's not me at all. I don't know if it's a reaction to yesterday's vaccine or if I have the bug that K had last week. Either way I'm wiped out. Cheering you on from the touchline will be my limit today I'm afraid.
Feeble toot 🎉

*Healing vibes* Round. Rest up and sleep sounds in order regardless of what's caused you to feel under the weather.Good luck with today Kaz. You've done fantastically well so far, so I hope you enjoy the final push today. So glad to hear your cane toad is being tamed Ionafan. Amazing dawn photograph.Welcome back Fayolle. You're not alone in struggling with Plymouth's roads. When I first moved here I used to drive to work in Devonport and couldn't understand how I went one route and came back another. It was quite some time before I realised how I was doing that. I still get confused by one city centre road. (Very jealous of your lovely week in France.)GI, sorry to hear the 4 month old kitten isn't being clean. If a cat is dirty around the house it means something is wrong. If the vet has checked it over and there's nothing physically wrong with it, it means the kitten is very unhappy about something. How many cats do you have? There should be one litter tray for each of them, and one extra if they're indoor cats. If your kitten has access to outdoors but goes indoors anyway, it's frightened of outdoors and is dirty indoors where it feels safer. I've had various issues with cats over the years and, touch wood, we've found ways of helping all of them to clean up their acts but sometimes it's been a process of elimination working out what that particular cat needs. (The dogs are the same, but they're much dirtier all round. They all arrive with serious tummy trouble and almost all of them are sporadically emotionallly dirty until they settle in. The beautiful Honey Bear, my first dog, wasn't but she was the exception and an utterly wonderful dog.)Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I'm doing okay, and yesterday flew the bathroom sink and loo, plus my bedside table. Today I've asked for another prescription of the stronger painkillers so I can intersperse the stronger and weaker without fear of running out of the stronger ones. Last night was bad but that doesn't happen very often any more and I'm pretty okay this morning. My biggest fear is that because I'm not being seen at the Fracture Clinic for five weeks after surgery that they'll find things aren't quite as right as they should be and the whole process will need to be restarted. It's logical but unlikely, so I have to keep reassuring myself that all is as it should be. Three weeks to go.Better is good enough.8

Washing on the line outside. Airing cupboard sorted and clothes etc returned to owners.
Bathroom and ensuite scrubbed back to shininess.
Dw emptied. Sausages hoiked from freezer for dinner, lots of veg to go with them.
Just remembered that DD’s bedding could do with a wash now that she is back in uni city - next job on the list.I don’t seem to have done much considering the time.
Round - if you don’t stop aiming that fluffy mule at me from your sofa, I swear….😘8 -
My batty old catty keeps defecating up the front door.. we just have puppy mats down for her now she is a nightmare. She will only use pink cat litter.. nothing crumby or bitty which will stick to her feet.. very particular! She won't share a litter tray so if someone else uses it (the other 6 don't care and use them all and Polly only goes outside unless absolutely desperate and no one is looking) Pick up the deposit and put it in the place you do want it to be done.. that seemed to work for the tinies.. who are all now immense.
I ate chicken yesterday.. it was delicious.. today I want to die my stomach is so incredibly ungrateful .. back to the no meat rule..
DW needs to go on and I think I have wet washing in the machines to go out.. though it may need a rewash, I will have to check.
loo and food and a cuppa first.. and a pile of rennies and other stuff.

Thanks HB & Pigpen for you thoughts. She is an indoor cat at the moment, but is desperate to go outside! She tries to slip past us as we open the front door 😱 We live on a fairly busy road, but my other cats have all stayed out the back. I am reluctant to let her out as she hasn't been done yet, and also people round here seem to think that every little (& not so little!) cat is lost and needs feeding!! I have 2 cats, and 2 litter trays. The older cat rarely uses them anyway (if at all!) She seems a very happy, confident cat to be honest so I am at a loss 🤷♀️
Washing brought in before it started raining & finished off I the TD. DW on. I am going to check the WM filter to see if that helps.

Been in to my old job - lots of smiles and hugs from lots of people and I realise I really am pleased I have left.

Hello all.
Hugs, congratulations and whatever is needed to all of you amazing people.
Today, I did most of Tuesday master plan before family arrived. Just hoovering and mopping to do tomorrow. It has been chaotic here. Abandoned washing because insulation is being done. Very noisy which scared the youngest baby. Everyone has now gone home, DH is away so it's just me and Poppet, who keeps taking her dressing off.
Back to paid stuff tomorrow. Short week thank goodness.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Bonjour, can I sneak back in please?
Lots has happened but all for the better. Thanks to all you lovely people the junk got sorted in the old house and it sold, completed and moved on the hottest day in July, 42 degrees C! As the date got brought forward by a month we could only get a small van so that led to even more stuff being given away, recycled, dumped etc. Once local people understood that if they didn't say they wanted stuff it was going to the tip or recycling they started coming to pick stuff up. Nearly 2 months down the line we don't miss any of it.
Now living in a smaller, modern house which is much cheaper to run and things aren't going wrong every 5 minutes. Neither of us are working and certainly don't miss office politics etc. We've had loads of visitors which has been lovely. House needs turning into a proper home with real storage etc (currently still a holiday home with very little storage space). We've just built a storage unit for the study and repainted the room so it's looking lovely, need to get a few bits of furniture out of the storage unit to finish it off. Next is our bedroom in October, we need wardrobes etc and want to give it a fresh coat of paint.
I am being very strict with myself to keep this place tidy and clean, so far so good, but so much easier with less stuff and places to store everything. Slowly working through the admin of moving and getting the paperwork etc reduced and put away in the new study.
Hugs, sticks and spoons for you all. xx10
