Iona.. thats scary.. Someone once opened my mothers passenger door and tried to steal her bag but she wraps the strap around the gear stick so they grabbed and ran and the bag boinged out of their hand and back in the car and the guy legged it..One ranty email fired off.. going for a phone call next.. and then I can ring SaLT and rant some more theyve had 48 hours to ring me back and have failed to do so.. I will start on their complaints procedure next.
Dot on top form this morning..I need to shuffle laundry and the defrosted freezer needs fully emptying.. some will now have to be binned I think.. and we need to sort a replacement.Electrician needs a rocket putting under him too.. he said 3 weeks and we are now in the 4th week..
They will be calling rude ladies 'Pigpens' at this rate.. lol.. probably preferable tbh, I know many lovely Karens.. the teacher at school who the girls wanted OH to marry is a Karen... she is much nicer than me!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Morning everyone.
Bed made and room picked up
Banking and spending spreadsheets updated
DW sorted
WM on
HHI done
Downstairs hoovered yesterday afternoon
OH is going to help me do upstairs when we've finished on the internet. We are both spending a lot less time on the internet and benefiting from it too.
YL more than happy to hold your hand at the event, put your best SMILE on and you'll astound them all.
Hope you're on the mend Round
We don't mention cats here, sadly we have lost one a few weeks after the move (she would have been 15 last week) and the other one still pees where he shouldn't (naughtiness and diabetic). I love them but!
Big hugs to all, get those SMILES out.

2 ranty phone calls done and a confused call.. our bin day is tuesday and the new schedule is for friday collections.. someone made a b00b!
1 more ranty call to make.. I'm just taking a breath because my ear is hot.. I have to use earphones to make calls as I cannot hear a word otherwise.
Is 2 days (50 hours) long enough to wait for the speech therapist to call me when they didn't turn up for an appointment on 30th August without any contact? Is it naggy if I ring them back now?
Waiting for internet people to ring me back.. their webchat was down.. I hate talking to them, they all talk to you like you are stupid and don't know what you are on about, drives me crazy.
Done nothing but chase calls, slurp tea and be annoyed.. and OH has Monday off and wanting to go to his mothers on Sunday (India and UK customer services shut only South Africa open .. if you have mobile issues.. don't ring on Monday!) I'm not sure I am calm and rational enough to visit them this soon after the last time. I am angry!
hmm.. laundry or DW or lunch??? decisions decisions.. and 2 more calls to check and hospital appointments to check as well.

Well hacked off here, the chain to my small chain saw will not stay on, I must have opened it up about 10 times now, so I've put it away for tonight and will try again in the morning, I really don't want to get the large chain saw out, as there is not enough thick wood to warrent it.I equally with OH away, I don't want to go round next door and ask for help, and seem like the feeble female. All bulbs are planted in the garden, I have kept about 10 to plant on my mother's grave, which I can long walk and do tomorrow.2 cats front lined, completely missed with cat 3, I'll aslo try again tomorrow.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thanks Mademoiselle, much appreciated, I will pretend that I am confident and not the slightest bit scared x
Iona that must have been a shock, I know someone who had their bag snatched from the passenger seat years ago.
Kaz if you can use a chain saw I wouldnt describe you as a feeble female, I am not sure I would feel confident to use one let alone put the chain back on.
Tired today, cycled in and back but it was hard work. Have concocted a summer stew for my tea with veg out of the garden, DH is having minced beef hotpot.
Have run the hoover around and had a bit of a tidy up. Working from home tomorrow and Friday. Work is OK but I am struggling to get back into it after my week off.9 -

Evening all. Hope you're all ok.
I can't even claim the dailies have been done today, but I walked the dog and made an important phone call. Caught up with friends over coffee for an hour at lunch.
Very busy at work and don't think I'll be taking the next two days as leave now.
DH still away so I fended for myself and made garlic mushrooms on toast.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

No flying today, no point in pretending otherwise. Unless I can take credit for cooking dinner, clearing away, and making my pack up for tomorrow. I need to think about finding something for dinner tomorrow from the fridge or freezer, as the week’s meal plan seems to have run out today. A bit lax, even by my standards.
Iona - I hope you are ok x .Well done for getting the toe rag’s numberplate. I just hope the information is acted upon.8 -
Airers cleared, Moomin has her stuff and the towels are all away.
I have a pile of presents for Dot to wrap for her birthday on Friday.
