Morning all. Beautiful sunshine here, and although it's chilly, there's no frost.
I am working my way through another migraineWe had planned to go out yesterday to a NT property , but I chickened out of driving any distance, and although I slept all afternoon I did not put in an appearance at the WAC last night.
On Thursday evening my WM died on me. We inherited it when we bought this house, so it was a good age, but obviously also good quality. The new one (not such a costly brand, but still eye-wateringly expensive when you've added in the - very necessary for us - removal of the old machine and fitting of the new one) is being delivered today. Late yesterday evening I remembered that the bushes by the side door needed fixing or cutting back to allow direct access to the utility. It has taken me an hour this morning to clear a path, sweep out the dead leaves, and wipe down the bits of the UPVC door surround that were previously covered by plants, but it's all neat and sparkly now. Reducing the height of the beautiful choisya so that my plants on the dining room window sill get a bit more light has revealed slug trails all over the outside of the window - but I shall leave that to the window cleaner, who I think (hope) is due this coming week. I'm not going up a ladder while I feel wobbly, and I don't think DH should be doing so either, this soon after his op.
That's all the flying I plan to do today, apart from WMx??? that didn't get done on Thursday. DH wants to go to a model railway exhibition not far from the forest and needs a lift if my migraine will subside for long enough, so if we can fit everything in around the delivery slot (no message yet), we will probably go on up to the forest cafe for a bite of lunch in the sunshine, and give Rosie a walk in the woods.
Hope everyone has time to relax this weekend xxx

Wow, you've been busy Iona. Enjoy your time up here Valli.
I have done dailies, cleaned fridge, made fruit salad and got stuff out to defrost for tonight's tea.
Off to vet now.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all,
You’ve all been so busy, I’ve done absolutely nothing!
Iona, please take it easy (wasting my words here, I know 😘), especially with the lingering migraine.
Valli, have a lovely time.
ASB, I hope you don’t inadvertently come back with a flock of sheep. Have fun.
It’s blue sky and beautiful here, but chilly. Definitely an autumnal kick to the air. DH wants to Go Out. I quite like the idea of hibernating instead.
Wm x 1 has just finished, dw emptied (DH, I haven’t even done that), parcel packaged up for DD to be delivered to the PO (DH will go - you see, I am actually doing very little…). I will stir myself and get dressed. And have another cuppa.
Have a lovely day all x7 -

I'll have a walking companion.

Morning all
How lovely to know that Valli is not too far away from me this morning, and ASB Hawes isnt a million miles away from here either. I hope you can both avoid the crowds, our little tourist town has been packed full of people this week - this time of year is when the coach companies descend with the more senior tourists, but they are very welcome because our businesses need the money.
Valli DSs GF lives at Spaunton, possibly one of the villages you might be close to. You have to negotiate free range sheep to get there which is slightly scary in the dark.
Slept for 10 hours last night, feel a bit groggy now but I must have needed it. DS messaged just before 7 when he started work and said it felt almost like a frost, it is sunny and breezy now.
Workout first, then bacon and eggs, then not sure what the plan is. DH is feeling a bit ropey, he now has confirmation from the consultant that his immune system has gone into meltdown after the Covid jab. 12-18 months and he should be over it they say.
Have lovely Saturdays all xx9 -
Good morning my lovelies xx
I enjoy reading about all your holidays and excursions- it saves me having to go anywhere 😊 I holiday by osmosis!
Chilly here. I had the heating on for an hour last night, and again for an hour this morning. Going to keep a record of my use so I'll know whether I need to cut down or can ramp up a little when the bill arrives at the end of the month.
I went back to work on Thursday. Very tired in the evenings but managed OK through the day. I'm calling it a reaction to the Covid booster but who knows what it was 🤔
I'm up, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, brought laundry hamper down - 1st load is pegged out, 2nd load is swishing. I've fed the birds and put out the rubbish and the recycling.
Breakfast next methinks.
Have a good day all

Hi ladies
Great day out, made some good contacts and going to see a chap about a couple of ewes tomorrow…
Fire now lit. Did a favour for a friend last week and she has brought some fizz and chocolates over so they will be enjoyed. There was no need but she insisted and pointed out I’d saved her a good chunk of money by helping, so I accepted graciously and will enjoy.
Have lovely evenings all xx9
