Good mor.... afternoon all xx
This morning I have
Had my Covid booster - using my brave
Made my first recce in Home Bargains- using my brave
which involved turning right at the roundabout going and coming back - using my brave
Updated my card details so that I could pay my car insurance- using my brave. I loathe doing that sort of thing. It was hanging over me like the sword of Damocles all weekend and yet it was simple to do. Heyho.
And I've taken down my birthday cards, and sorted Sweetie's seed and water- but I didn't need to be brave to do that. It just needed doing.
That's this month's brave all used up. In one morning. 😁
I now need to get organised (Fayolle - writing lists will be involved 😍) as I've bought birthday cards for birthdays up to and including August 2023, a couple of Christmas cards, and I'm planning to split Christmas present buying up over September/ October/ November/ December instead of making one big splurge in early December. Must make a note that I've bought the Advent calendars.
What fun!
Love to all. I'm going to lie down in a darkened room and wait for myself to recover from all that brave. Then treat myself to chips and curry sauce for my tea.

Well done round x You definitely deserve chips and curry sauce to replace all the mental energy you used up this morning - I just hope you don't have to drive to the chippy!
I have completed, paid for and printed out the first document ready for signing
Earlier, I S&S'd the kitchen worktops and the handbasin in the bathroom.7 -
Good afternoon all, hope everyone is well. I'm in again this week, and ahead of the game. Spent two hours yesterday cleaning the kitchen, it was DGS1 and DGD1' s joint birthday party. Of course this morning if looks as bad as ever!
Also today, OH and i have cleaned out the gutters, the rain was going everywhere, now ready for Autumn and more leaves! And we've now sorted the brakes on the, (this vehicle will be on the road one day,) van/camper. And I've walked to the post office and back to post a parcel, good exercise!
Now going to go and organize tea before the school run, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.9 -

Tax return done, with the help of an assistant, (cat 2) who 'played' with the papers, and shuffled them on to the floor, so put him out, only for him to run back in 2 mins later. Any way HMRC seem to owe me about £20, as pension company thought I was one of their employees and put me on the payrollWashing grabbed in, it is now raining.2 mice removed from cat 1, who seems to think it is his duty to bring them in for me............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Absolutely brilliant Kaz, well done you!
Such a productive day in the end.
- Eggs delivered and cuppa had
- Two more egg deliveries done
- Workshop sorted out, tip run done and wood shifted around
- Chickens cleaned out
- More laundry done
- DW on again with the inside bits of the oven
- Various emails and texts sent
- General bin overflowing with kibble - will be emptied Wednesday morning
- Dinner eaten
- Ebay parcels wrapped and collection arranged for tomorrow
- Last of the potatoes dug up, and grobags/pots dealt with accordingly
Phew! Early to bed for me. WM is on again as we are forecast lovely weather tomorrow. I hope the WAC stays empty, hugs to all xx8 -
A productive day here too - been a while since I’ve been able to say that. I even cleaned the cupboard fronts (yuck) and the top of the extractor fan (no emoji can describe how gross that was. It’s been a while, apparently). The kitchen looks better for it. Good call on the Wooden Spoon Pot, Valli - I didn’t do it, but it’s now on my radar.
Lettuce, tomatoes and herbs picked. Beetroot (homegrown) and goats cheese risotto made. DH didn’t rummage for seconds, so either it was not a success, or he has finally signed up to the slinky challenge. I fear it might be the former 😉. Intended slinky exercise not done, but tomorrow is another day.Knitting now, and then I’m hoping also to keep out of the WAC.7 -
Hi all
Round I need a supersized brave for next week as I am going to a conference which means driving on the motorway to a place I have never been to before and mingling with lots of people I dont know. I am taking deep breaths already.
Excluding DS I have 7 birthdays between now and Christmas so shopping for all of them now would make a lot of sense. I have bought DS something already, but havent thought about the rest.
Busy day at the paid stuff, then off to hospital with DS so it's been a long day. Have changed our bed but very little other flying done.

YL - oh my. That would be giving me palpitations too. Anticipation is often worse than the actual deed, but knowing this doesn't seem to reduce the angst.
Postman brought me a letter saying it's time to book a smear. Presumably they don't do that over the phone!!!
iona - I had to drive to the next village for my chips and curry sauce....very rural so no brave required. However I did have to brave a queue when I got there. I have been known to change my mind at sight of a queue, but I had enough brave left to join the queue ( or I was desperate enough to wait 😉)
The bulk of birthdays for me are between November and January. So I'll add birthday presents to my list too. Thank you for the reminder.
Sweet dreams everyone
