    Hello All:D

    Not been around for a couple of weeks. Firstly had mum visiting for 10 days, then DD1 5th birthday so family party, then her birthday party at soft play centre on 22nd. During those couple of weeks DD2 caught conjunctivitus at nursery (grr at people who send their kids in with such nasties), this meant she missed her first xmas play (which we were gutted about as she had learnt all the songs - Huge grrr at parents who sent there gooky eyed littles to nursery), luckily her eyes had stopped gooking by the friday so she made it to the party on the last day. DD1 had visit to docs for ear infection, then second visit a week later when ear was still gooey so another lot of ear drops and anti-biotics. Then xmas eve DD2 threw up all over the bed and had a raging temp of over 40. Despite all that we have had some lovely times and DD1 really enjoyed her birthday parties etc. Oh yeah, freezer broke down on 23rd too!

    Had in-laws round on boxing day and that all went well. New freezer ordered and was delivered earlier today (its a big one, fridge freezer height) also weakened and bought a tumble dryer (which I used this evening).

    House not doing too bad, spent an hour in littles room today and sorted through their dressing up chest removing outgrown and manky items. Several other items been popped in the charity shop box too.

    Had a flick back through a few pages of posts but as i am at work tomorrow (and it will be very quiet) may get to read them all. Hope everyone had a good xmas though. Cannot believe how quickly it all seems to be over this year.

    Was so glad I had planned to make everything from scratch over christmas otherwise the freezer braking down would have been a nightmare, not to mention expensive. Luckily I had about half a bin liner full of stuff as I had run it down to defrost it.

    Belated birthday wishes to Pigpen:beer:

    Hi shell - you sound in very good spirits all things considered. Hope the next couple of weeks are more straight forward.

    Finished my ironing. DS3 was complaining that his ear was making funny noises when I put him to bed. It was red and hot but he said it did not hurt so let's hope it stays that way.

    Going to put the washing on then up to bed, my eve magazine came in the post today - February!

    Well, last guests gone home. DH said 'right lets get flying and clear up now'. I nearly passed out as he always leaves it till the next day. So, tidy house. Just need to vacuum tomorrow. We've got a lovely quiet weekend so i'm not going to leave the house apart from walking the dog until Monday.

    Hope everyone poorly feels better soon xx

    Morning all, poor soapie, hope you feel better. I didn't do that well with my first attempt at a list yesterday...but I tried!! Thanks for all the welcomes :grin:

    I planned to get up at 0700...crawled out of bed at 0800 :o But I have managed to strike a few things off yesterday's list already! Then off to the tip (yey!), visiting a friend and then local rugby match so won't be back to later. Today's list:

    * Shower, dress.
    * Empty top of wardrobe and sort into recycling / maybe keep / keep / wash musty stuff piles DONE 2 carrier bags of stuff for recycling :D
    * Empy car of Christmas stuff DONE though hall is now full of boxes...
    * Fill up car with load for recycling / tip / charity shop and empty!!! Did loads of clothes
    * WM load ON,just need to hang to dry, 2nd now on
    * Plan outfit for NYE gonna surf now, perfect job with a glass of wine 2018
    * Start sorting 'keep' clothes into piles:
    ** Summer to store in loft
    ** Too small but want to keep as WILL lose weight to store in loft
    ** Walking / cossie to store in loft
    * Hoover & dust bedroom

    I've just found my expensive sleeping bag. It smells musty, but there are no washing instructions...... not sure what to do :confused:

    Also, all my chest of drawers smell 'musty' as they were stored in my mum's basement. I've opened them to air and will put a dehumidifier in the room while I'm out for the day. Any ideas what else I can do to the drawers to remove the smell before I put clothes back in? I guess a wipe down with detergent will help? :confused:

    Anyway, time is ticking and I need to hit that shower! Have good days all :D

    Morning all

    Well we are all cough and cold free here and plan on keeping it that way so whilst I know it's nice to share I would appreciate i if you would all keep your germs to yourselves :p Masked hugs to all those feeling under the weather.

    Well I have lazed in bed for so long my back is aching now! So brekkie while I sit here, paracetamol and then let's get this show on the road.

    mushy re your sleeping bag I would either get it dry cleaned or wash it on a wool/silk wash or even a cold wash. TBH I very rarely take any notice of dry cleaning instructions and tend to bung everything dry cleanable in on a wool wash then either a cool tumble or hang straight away to drip dry.

    Right better restock ebay and then start here.
