Kids in bed, just waiting for them to doze off then dogs to see to, tablets/medicine time then bed time hopefully.
Dusty, thank you, unfortunately I do get ill lots as my sister comments on, unfortunately seems it's the way my body works, my consultant says my body 'fastfoods' everything, seems to do fine keeping fats and sugars but has issues with absorbing the 'good for you' bits. Food lasts about 3-4 hours in me usually, sorry for the details but that just about explains the part which is broke which effects me being ill. I try my best to top up on supplements when I remember but you can usually guarantee if it's going round, I'll get it. I have most of my medicines in liquid form so my body has a chance to absorb it, considering trying the same with vitamins, just takes a lot of space, 1 box of Loperamide or 19 bottles I think it was, some distance in space, they're in the fridge.....Colds last months for me and I usually get throat infections etc to top it off, or ear ones like this time.
Oooops there goes another moan, makes you feel like just moaning and going into a ball doesn't it...they've got until the end of Eastenders then I am giving them Whiskey or something, I need sleep!
AnWsMum thank you, it's the thought that counts and that one just counted and made me cry. Helped clear my nose tho :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

I've found my Olbas oil in the medicine cupboard and I'm alternately sniffing that and blowing my nose. Only had this cold a day and I'm already fed up! Never mind, Corrie in a minute and then I might go to bed.0

Lil me - you sound really poorly, big big hugs, hope you get a good nights sleep
Dusty - I NEED to be in the use up challenge, up to my eyes in stuff here and always find January a bad month for money. Watching Spooks - DH and I LOVE it! Really sad the latest series has just finished.
Aimee - you sound really happy with the new beau, what a fab pressie
Weather here is shocking! Really windy and rainy so dogs really not happy as no walks and both are too wimpish to stay out on garden. Been into town, brought my Dads birthday pressies, got DH a new briefcase as a surprise gift for new years day - thats the day when hes promotion 'offically' starts and wanted to mark it for him. Have managed to get DS down for a long nap this afternoon so did loads of jobs with DH being out and feel organised now. WM been on and TD. Have put away all DS's pressies, re-jigged playroom to fit stuff in, empited his wardrobe and boxed up all small stuff. Received my Boots sale order to find most of it missing, hope it turns up soon.
Tomorrow we are going into town for clothes shopping/spending Xmas vouchers and then we are round at some neighbours for drinks at night. Need to do some ironing too.
Have a good night all!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Poorly, nope, just cold :rotfl: ok maybe. Anyone got a bigger dressing gown? I just tried to put a second one on and it won't fit, might be the other layers, suppose I should realise I need to cool off not warm up, it's 25 degrees and I am wearing 4 layers
Olbas oil, now that is an idea, I am out of grown ups ones but I am sure that there is some kids stuff, somewhere. Need to get something on my nose too, too late for Rudolf impressions.
Pollybear, big hugs, I can hug you as you already are full of bugsOne day I might be more organised...........

Dusty - im in on the use up challenge in the bathroom front. Got a load of lovely stuff for Christmas, mainly Clinique samples from Santa (the bits mum got free when buying my grandma her pressies, but hey i dont care, the stuffs lush!:D) and could probably put the moisture back in Africa with the amount i have , so im in. Might see if i can set a beauty regime and see if i can moisutrise - im so lazy i get up shower and go!
lil_me - sorry to hear that you pick up everything going. Get on those supplements to try and boost your immune system. Have you tried Berroca for the Vit C (700% rda, but it is expensive), its dissolvable tabs. I find it helps no end in keeping up my immune system. Unfortunately i hadnt been taking it and have had glandular fever over Christmas . Another one who was going to say that if i lived closer (not 5hrs away!) i would gladly pop round and child sit for you so ou could get some sleep.
AnW'smum - Oh dont tell me thati want to go soon. Oh ok when the weather is better. Its rubbish here too tracyg
Thanks for the lovely comments about the bf. Lil_me i think your right about the dad thing! Mind you he doesnt yet know about the divorced with 3 kids bit.
Oh im bored and thinking of doing stuff around the house but also thinking i might have a last day off and there is naff all on tv.0 -
Thank you to everyone for the helpful tips re Dorothy Perkins. I found the website, they have the coat in stock, so I ordered it straight away! I couldn't find a code that would work, and - whisper - I'm not signed up to Quidco yet...do I get thrown off MSE now?? I do have a very happy DD!
lil_me - take care of yourself
I must must must get off this computer now, and do the washing up...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
DK, don't know if it will track, but it's a step closer than I was! Won't know till I try, so... Lets spend money!
Can you be a shopaholic and a serious money saving fan at the same time?0 -
Aimee what he doesn't know will not hurt for now, could of course once you have had more time together say 'I thought I had mentioned it' or 'Well did you pressume he's a lonely old perv of a bachelor' (If you are feeling harsh and really want to make him sshhhh :rotfl: ) I'll look into that medicine stuff. Thank you aswell, knowing I have a squillion boxes from Wilkinsons I could parcel them up in it's so tempting..especially as they are still awake.
Right time to deal with dogs then sponge off and bed, too hot now, I can't win, temperature according to the in mouth thingamy is over 40, hmm, just how I feel, 10 years older so I don't need warming up!
Goodnight everyone xOne day I might be more organised...........

Hey girls.
It's been a while since I've visited. I was very much enjoying the flying but life got in the way a bit in the few weeks up until Chrimbo, but I'm looking forward to the new lists and getting right back on the horse.
I'll have to get my arris in gear to do a house-wide S&S before Sunday night as we've got friends over for dinner - the last entertaining of the festive season 2007. We're at friends on NY Eve - so I can drink someone else's wine for a change. They'd better rig up a box and an IV drip.
But I've enjoyed every moment of Christmas this year and I hope you all have too. Hugs to those for whom it didn't quite go as planned though.
At the risk of repeating myself from the Grocery challenge thread - A Happy, Healthy and Moneysaving New Year to all.
