**throws up at the thought of text talk** Sorry but it is one of my major pet hates, my sister texts me messages like 'ru comin ova tdy wiv tha stuf 4 the bairn' argh, I text back with 'Please send again in English!', don't even get me started on my partners cousin who texts him, I can't even translate those, 17 year old girl of course.

LJD1 wohoooo new cooker, sounds lovely **jealous grrr** hope the party goes well. Hugs for your little DD aswell bless her, been through it a bit hasn't she.

Dusty if I had my way the tree would be down before now!!! It's in the way, sick of putting stuff back on it!

A lot of places still haven't got DSs in, we got some sent over from Iraq which was handy, sold the other 2 we were left with, they are region free and you just need a different charger if you get one from abroad with a 2 pin plug.

Right, Wilkos order is 'away'. It's under my bed ( can't fit anything else under) under stairs cupboard is full, airing cupboard space full, kitchen cupboards fit to burst, piles in 'corners' for the things I can't find 'hidden' space for oh and a couple of boxes to go in the shed. I know I'm very strange but this is how I like it, I get twitchy when I am down to 3 packs of washing powder etc....I'm just as bad about food stuffs but cleaning things are worse because they don't go off, so I can stock pile even more, I usually stock up in January where any offers are on for the year.

I had a RANT to them aswell, one box, the biggest, was soaking, 2 bottles of white vinegar with no lids on them, loads of things ruined, they are sending those items back out, took me ages to get through so maybe they have had a few complaints. I don't mind the smell when using vinegar for cleaning but that stank.

Didn't manage to get my shower yet as DP still out so can't watch the boys, he's gone to wire up a TV for his Grandma, so she's probably got him driven round the bend by now. Will get in when he gets back.

2nd laundry load is now in, the airer I just opened (apart from being cracked on the plastic!!!) is great, loads more drying space now. Have put it up in the conservatory for now, not the warmest room in the house but won't get in the way.
One day I might be more organised...........

Everything done now apart from the kitchen - still can't see the table. Kids grumpy - they have been at Mum's and are over tired.

Right time to mull some wine.

Lil_me I am the opposite, I love using stuff up and starting new packs. I do have a stash of toiletries from my Tesco H&B days but unless it is on offer I only buy it if we are running out.

January I am planning on having a use it up month and buying as little as possible - anybody want to join me.

I'm in DK - We seem to have half empty bottles of this, that and the other from when we moved and couldn't find them!

DH got me a DS lite and I love it! Been playing Zelda and Animal Crossing and all sorts of games (he also got me an R4 card, google it, and DS1 an R4 card, he got a ds last year) But I have a callus inbetween my thumb and finger now! LOL!

Best deal I found was Curry's, using quidco and as many vouchers as you can find. Or Game. Though Game stores usually have 2nd hand ones at around £60 I may pick one up for DS1 and give DS2 DS1's old one.

Thanks Tia - I'll pop into Game tomorrow and see if they've got any. Argos have them in stock so I know I can get one from there. Still haven't completely made up my mind whether to get her one or not but quite probable!

:rotfl: I can do a use up month without worrying now :o I don't plan to buy any more until I need to restock again, with my GC challenge target I include cleaning, toiletries etc so what I do is 'shop from home' as it's been called in OS, I put from my grocery money what each thing I open would have cost me. Then next year like this one I'll have a 'pot' of money to do it all again, something DP mentioned is if we have to move when the years lease is up I might have to take some of it with me :o never thought of that but suppose I did it last time and didn't hurt. One thing I do prefer when it comes to shopping from home is not having to get the heavy stuff from the shops, with DPs car being off the road, I have hated popping to the shop for mik, washing powder etc because it's heavy, loo rolls because they are bulky.

I will try to include some 'using up' and 'declutter' things on the Flylady lists when we restart next week if I remember. Any more ideas please let me know, new year and would like to include some new challenges.

I will be doing a grocery use up again, once everyone is better we might actually eat some of what is in, noone is eating much at the minute and freezer/cupboard stocks have stayed over full, most of Christmas dinner I made is in the freezer which we would have usually picked at for a few days, most of the meats I ordered are still in there, piles of tasty treats which haven't even been touched, shame DS1 hates parties as it's his birthday soon and could have done one easily.
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm not dead.. just reading my way through the piles of new books in the house.. I'll be back when I have read them all and flying is forgotten until they are all back at school and that infernal tree is going back away at the weekend.

My Wilko's order arrived today though.. nothing to go back so all is well there!

    xx
