Uhg, Asda... Parking was a nightmare! The usual !!!!!! who sit and wait at the parent and child spaces, so when I drove up, and saw it was full and thought 'sod it I will go elsewhere' I had to wait for them to move, which they don't as they think you are going to steal the first space... few blasts of the horn sorted it AND the guy in the truck who thought he could just reverse out on me. Sorry mate, it would be coming off your insurance you ars! Got parked, just parked in two further up, well, I do have children! (I need to get a blue badge asap).
Going round was... horrific.... I could have done it online and had it delivered tomorrow, but I'm going into town while hubby drops off kids so we can go to a PARTY! I'm so excited!!!!!
Dinner of cheeseburgers is on, kids are starved as am I. Went to poundies and got some nice boxes for games and controllers, and a washing hamper, and a box for kids pens, and a bin, and well, you know how it is.
Oh Pigpen, what books you got? I need something new.... hmmm.... Amazon.... Nobody buys me books at christmas even though I love books. As much as I love my new DS lite, I can't take it in the bath with me can I?0 -
tia.. I have the advantage of teenage children... so am reading their books!!

Hi everyone,
I did pop in earlier for a catch up read, but didn't have time to post. I had promised to take DD into town again, as she didn't have time to go round all the shops she wanted to yesterday. We had found a really nice coat for her - and I didn't have the money in the account yesterday, but as it was credited today, I said I'd buy the coat - yes, you've guessed it, they'd sold all the ones in her size...and it wasn't even reduced in the sale.So it looks like I shall be touring all the branches of Dorothy Perkins in the South East until we track it down..ooh, wonder if they have a website?? I'll look in a minute.
pigpen - I assumed you were still recovering from the birthday party!
Very little in the way of flying going on here, but OH has been dismantling the upstairs loo and rebuilding it, as the flushing mechanism broke yesterday morning. He's just come in to tell me that it isn't working, there's a leak. Oh great. Just as well we have a downstairs loo as well.
Very excited about tomorrow - we're off to order the sofas! I've been saving all year for them, and been wanting to replace them for about five years, so really looking forward to this! No eating or drinking in the livingroom, once they've arrived! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Serena - they do have a website
Friends have gone home now, nice easy friends we just ate mince pies cake and drink tea and mulled wine, kids played really well.
DS1 has been on the dart board for 6 hours solid - I kid you not - best £15 I have ever spent!
Started the use up from the freezer and planned meal for when the inlaws come on Sunday of more use up, just need to buy a gammon and the rest I have so not bad. Cat eating turkey - she will get sick of it.
House not too bad now except for kitchen. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Serena yes they do, cashback through quidco too, I have used vouchers on there before from this site aswell, pop a forum search on dorothy+perkins, might be lucky.
Dusty, my partner is the same (probably the same age mentally) actually I get quite competative even on my own playing darts, I grew up with a dart playing Dad who ran a league and will regularly watch it on tele etc. Met loads of players tooEric Bristow is my fave, spent an evening and day with him over Christmas about 11 years ago, in fact I woke up on a sofa and he was stood next to me :rotfl: got the fright of my life, I was babysitting where he was staying, he's lovely! I was 17 or 18 by then but still like a dream come true for a girl who grew up watching him play and always wanted to meet him.
Well I made dinner while I shaked in front of the oven, wearing pjs, jumper, cardigan and my dressing gown, so yup think that is a fever as the heating was on then, not the healthiest thing cooking when ill but someone had to, I did have half an hour lay down until DP shouted of me because he needed feeding before work, wish he could/would cook. He said 'I'll get food at work' but to me that is a waste with all we have in and I had to cook for the kids anyway.
As soon as the boys are in bed I am going too, I'll likely be up and down like a yoyo but need to just curl up in a ball and feel sorry for myself. Suppose I should try and get another wash load on the airers before bed, it's great fun trying to aim with clothes when you're shaking like a washing machine on spin cycle.
*coughs and sneezes** oh and hugs from a distance. One day I might be more organised...........

Im home!!!!
At last. So nice to be home in my own house without having to think about the parents! Oh thats mean isnt it. I love my parents and enjoy being at home but there is really a limit to how long i can spend at home.
Happy Belated Birthday Pigpen.:bdaycake:
Hello to all out there and big hugs to those that need one and that are ill. :grouphug:
I have unpacked. Opened the last of my Christmas cards. Thank you to all my friends out there who sent me one. It was lovely. Perhaps we should start a birthday list?
OOOOOHHHHH have to tell you my bf of about 1 month, who i adore sent me the best Christmas present. A Hot Air Balloon flight!!!!!! :j Im so excited. Its rather weird how well we get on and hes lovely, but that was an amazing present considering ive only known him 2 months!!! I also now feel slighty guilty i only spent a few pounds on him buying some wine glasses for his new pad. He is 15 years older than me and is divorced with 3 children who are 12 years younger than me, which people have already started to find weird, including my Dad, Mums not so bothered, but there you go..... Anyway enough of me wittering on.
I have to give the house a lick and a promise to make it more habitable. So tomorrow.....
S&S kitchen
S&S bathroom
Hoover house
Another load of washing.
Logs in.
Well i must go eat something, im rather hungry.
See you all later

I managed to work a way to get Quidco to let me earn at tesco! I can get to the tesco link by using the tesco mobile link as the others wont work. So, next week, Mr T's for shopping *nods* :j:j:j
Should I be so excited about something so... geeky? :rotfl:0 -
tia, yes, I would *joins in the wave with tia*
Aimee, welcome home, sounds wonderful, you'll have to be careful who you introduce him too just incase they pinch himYour Dad sounds like mine, I eventually learned he will comment if they are older (too old, too many responsibilities, works crazy hours, lives far away), younger (immature, still a kid, childish, looking for a mother) or the same ages (women are more mature, too much in common etc), suppose to some Dad's you're always their little girl, when they realise you are happy they usually back off a little.
Darn these kids for sleeping this afternoon, now they won't go to bed. I've never thought this for ages but I really wish my Mam wasn't away at the minute, could just do with someone to watch the little guys while I sleep and get over this. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me hugs hunyou really do need a good rest as you have been unwell now for too long. I hope when the kids are back at school you will take some time out for yourself.
Tia - of course you should your a 'serious MoneySaving Fan' it says so under your name. Will it definitely track?
Delicious tea of cold turkey and vegetable bake (from the freezer) kids had egg and chips. They are all putting their PJs on as they are shattered.
Plan to watch another 'spooks' with OH tonight and might do another stint of ironing once my tea has gone down. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi Everyone
Panto was great this morning (was Aladdin) kids really enjoyed it, then we went to the chicken shop (KFC) for lunch and finally to try and find some boots for A for her b'day from Nannie. Unfortunately there were either no boots in her size of the heels were too high (so she had a strop about that lol).
House still looks like a bombsite so Dusty if you are looking for a challenge.....
Welcome home Aimee it is great to be home isn't it. Sounds like you have a gem there, what a great pressie, but you have to be patient. Dad got the same for mum 2 years ago and they have STILL to go up up and awaytried loads of times just to be cancelled due to the weather. And who gives a stuff what anyone else thinks about your man, so long as you are happy then let people make their comments. Life is way to short to worry about what others think, if you are happy with who you ae, where you are and what you are doing then the rest does not matter
Lil_me parcel the boys up and send them down to me so you can get some sleep, they can keep W amused although he is fast asleep right now! Hope you are feeling better soon HUGS from me.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
