Lol, I did eventually stop sneezing, after a disgusting event!
Turkey cooking time calculator said it would only take 2 hours to cook it as it is, so will just cook it as it is. Going to put it in its tray and foil it up and what not so it has to be just pulled from fridge, left to sit for a bit to warm up then cooked.
Need to get some lunch first though, I have the shakes!0 -
I've had some of the soup I made yesterday. Just washing up and then the bird is going in the oven - not checked the time yet but guess 3-4 hours. I am putting some veg in the pan like Jamie did, oiling my bird and wrapping it's wings. Hope to make gravey from the pan tonight and leave in a jug overnight. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

So, if you cook it tonight, how do you re-heat it tomorrow?
I am seriously a turkey virgin.0 -
Tia before you cook it make sure you take any giblets out - they will be in a bag, possibly some at both ends.
Once cooked save some of the juices in a jug. Slice the turkey when it has cooled and wrap it in foil. The bits you want to reheat (not any you are serving cold) put in a dish, pour some of the juices over, cover in foil and reheat. Once the gravy is on you will never know. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Cat going mad, she can smell the turkey already. Not sure what to do with the giblets, last year I think I cooked them for the cat - any tips, it says t boil them in water to make gravy but I don't fancy thatThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Damn, damn, damn!
DS2 just woke up, temperature sitting at 38.6'c, coughing, saying his chest was 'ow'. gave him paracetamol and abth and he is still just as warm.
Now I have a dilemma, there is no way I can get him to the GP, as it's in the town center and I will not get parked. Going to phone the surgery and see what they say.0 -
