Evening all,
Hope you've all had a good if not busy day.
Sorry to hear we still have poorly ones for Christmas. I hope they feel better by tomorrow.
I've had a delivery day with cards and the odd present and been wrapping for 3 hours now, why did someone not nag me to do it before!! And I still havent finished but at least the Santa sack ones are done (and this is definitely the last year I do them The kids are 8 and 15 !!!!!!!)
DS was totally gobsmacked with his guitar, his teacher said his reaction was awesome he really had no idea, so he is a happy bunny if he gets nothing else.
Well I still havent made the sausage rolls, bread sauce or stuffing - do you think anyone will notice if there isnt any
. OK maybe they will. Best gets the kids some tea now as OH has gone to work and we wont see him til 630 when he finishes in the morning poor babe, he's going to busy tonight as he's on his own on the Paramedic car so he'll get called to all the PUT's (or pi55ed up !!!!! for those who havent come across them - bet your OH has come across a few lil-me)
Ok food calling - enjoy your evening and think of me wrapping again in a little while.
Love to allMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Evening all! Thanks for the lovely messages, its nice to be welcomed back. Been busy all day, have managed to clean kitchen, mop floors, clean ulitity room, polished and hoovered all downstairs, cleaned sofas, cooked a huge chunk of gammon in SC, visiting various people all afternoon. DS bit off it as cut 3 (!!!!) teeth today but has had some calpol and is now tucked up. Could be doing prep for lunch tomorrow but is only me and DH and DS so can be ready whenever, normally for 12 so have a year off this year - just sausage cobs for morning visitors and Boxing Day party to do *rolls eyes*. Spent too many Christmas days looking after everyone else to be able to enjoy it and really want to have a lovely day with DS.
Lil me well done for sorting that nasty woman, glad you've got some more meds
Embb/Soapie awww, love getting flowers, enjoy them!
Everybody else hugs to poorlies and well done as so many have achieved loads today
We are about to have a takeaway (although I've stood and picked/scoffed gammon so feel a bit sick) bottle of champers and start opening IL's pressies - we decided we will have enough tomorrow helping DS with his gifts from people and greeting visitors and want to enjoy whats been brought.
So Happy Christmas, mines starting now, big hugs to everyone and please just enjoy!!! xxLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

My Mam just been over, wish I'd had an empty space in the freezer as she got given a turkey at work and doesn't eat it. There was some rude people where she worked too, moaning about how little turkeys were reduced and were goingback later, well it'll be a bit of tough luck this year as they didn't knock any more off and gave them to staff :rotfl: she liked my 'attitude' moment too. Told her to give it to my sister anyway as she's always skint.
DS1 seems better thankfully, Tia I hope your little one is ok, all fingers crossed here.
G&B agree entirely, something as daft as a Knex case has had me ready to scream!
Well kitchen been blitzed, so that's one room done. Boys going to bed soon, once they've tidied up the toys etc off my Mam, then I will do the sitting room and get 'wrapped'. Oh then the turkey to tackle, might wait until tomorrow to do that depending what time I get finished. One day I might be more organised...........

:rotfl: Why do you think I decided to let the music teacher give him his guitar a day early - would have been a bit obvious, and yes I would have wrapped it, Have previously wrapped fully erect Little Tykes playhouse and a big ELC slide (now that did take some wrapping :rotfl: ) to think of just a couple.
Bellys all full now of Iffits which included Chilli con carne, macaroni cheese and tagliatelle carbonara.
DS hoovering his room then its DD's, then they need their labels to put on their wrapped pressies. DD can then go to bed while I hoover rest of house finish wrapping pressies and contemplate making the sausage rolls tonight. Well my baked Gammon didnt go in until 1015 last night and OH and I have been treating it like a self service buffet today its so delicious.
Tea sounds good G&B - think Ill join you :coffee:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
