tiamai, thanks, will have a go later when not feeling quite so stressed.
rach pleased you have arrived safely.
Shopping done, how stressful!! I did remember the foil, could only get the titchy stuff so will have to just work with it. Some horrible people shop on Christmas eve, traffic a nightmare and noone lets you out. People who just shop for what is reduced, ok it's a saving but one woman was just plain rude, she was taking stuff off the shelves which wasn't reduced then shouted at this poor young assistant 'Reduce this now it's got tomorrows f*cking date on it' she was so rude I just said to the girl ' Would you like me to tell her to f*ck off because you're not allowed to?' well she chuntered something and toddled off, young girl was in stitches, she said 'Thank you'I just hate rude people
Oh and to the person who parked so close to my car I had to climb in from the other side, they got a note too!
Right, ok, calm, well I did say it didn't seem like Christmas because only me ill and not the kids, someone tell me to shut up next time. DS1 has threw up 3 times and has huge temperature!! Oh and he has the most dreadful stinking wind, urgh! Oh well it wouldn't be Christmas if at least one of the kids wasn't ill, just 'normal' here. To all those with poorlie little ones, big hugs.
Right, still got everything to do apart from the shopping. One day I might be more organised...........

Right kids watching tv so i'm gonna crack on with utility room and at least that will be half the house tidySometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Ooh well done Lil_me, i work in the service industry and hate people who are rude to servers/assistants etc. I've worked in restaurants/shops for nearly 10 years and have got to the stage if someone is like that to me i'm rude right back! Luckily my managers are fab and always back us up:D And people who park too close tend to find when i try and get in my car my car keys accidentally slip all the way down the side of their car:rolleyes:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Much as I loved working in retail, 'Mad-Christmas-!!!!!' always spoiled it. But you do find that other, well adjusted normal people are very friendly, so long as you are doing your job well (which I always did, so ha!). I used to just walk away from them, or when they were nasty, would give them a look that said 'Oh my gosh, I think I stepped in dog poo, oh no, it's you...', then suddenly a huge million watt smile and a 'Sure Thing, You Have A Nice Day Now, A Very Happy Christmas' in a voice that took into account that they were a little bit deaf and a little bit... under educated.
The bird is cooking away nicely, chucked in some baby carrots, white wine, butter, olive oil, half a lemon and some garlic. Smells wonderful.0 -
That sounds yummy, can i come to yours for dinner:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
