Hmmm - just as I finished writing that post, got a phone call from work. Something urgent's cropped up. They need a go/no-go on something ASAP and only I can give it. (I suppose it's sort of flattering to be so indispensable). I can, fortunately, work on it from home which is really nice.
I've explained I have the physiotherapist and dentist tomorrow afternoon but should be able to say yay or nay by Friday lunchtime so they can meet a Friday evening deadline.
So, I guess I won't be able to do quite so much flying tomorrow - we'll have to see how it pans out. But, as I work on a self-employed basis, the extra pay is an unexpected bonus which will pay for ChristmasI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Oh I am so popular! After my earlier failed trip to Tesco I went back after school. Got to the till with all my shopping and....i'd forgotton my pin number! It's so long since I used the debit card I haven't got a clue what it is. So that what happens when you become debt free and start living on a cash only budget. Came home and told DH he had to go and pay for the shopping. It took some persuasion before he realised I wasn't joking. Oops!
More money saving in that i've had to order a new pin and it won't come until after Christmas. Such is life....I refuse to let it get to me xxJanuary budget

Kids fed - really unexciting egg and soliders for the 3 who have school dinners and leek and pot soup for the other. Made pancakes for pud as I had brought 1 lemon to get 15pnts in Tesco. I have had a frozen vegetable bake - I just don't feel like cooking this week - I did cook the bake - hope it passes by christmas day.
Football runs still to do and need to get washing out of machine.
No flying done today apart from putting the kitchen back together. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
(((AnW's mum)))
Most of the feathers have gone. I think I ate some for lunch... very nice with brie and apple.
Mmmm lil_me, we're having curry too, but regrettably not from scratch. Where did you get the recipes from? I'd like to try.
DD and I did dash downtown, and it was hectic, but really quite fun! We bought a few remaining little bits, then home for tea and biscuits. I'd only just wrapped three of DS2's presents when he rang for me to pick him up, so I'll have to do some more when he's gone to bed.
I'm trying to decide whether to go get the turkey tomorrow when they are in at Sainsbury's - presumably they will last - or wait until Friday or Saturday. Given that they may be in more demand, I don't want to risk not getting one...
Must go cook.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Happy Birthday AnWs mum - another person moved to tears by your comments. Must be more appreciative of what I do have.
On which subject DH thinks I have gone mad, we cant move in the kitchen for animal food, and I did the big bulk christmas food shop today. Major re-organisation coming on for tomorrow. Lovely person he is, he came home yesterday with two cases of Red Stripe and two huge bottles of Badedas. (both of which are my faves and no one round here sells)
I have managed to clear the full day tomorrow for an 8 hour challenge. I will get the house to a state I am comfortable with before our visitors arrive on Friday. On the other hand I may just give into Man flu (thanks DH), sign the pledge and go back to bed.....'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Evening all, post for tomorrow is up and Kaz I hope you're going to pass this good luck our way when you are finished with it. With the Barclayloan when my partners PPI was refunded 2 years back I think it was, it was taken off what he owed rather than what he'd paid given back, which I thought was a bit wrong.
Bit of an advanced warning, I'll not be doing a post next week, at all, or we'll end up playing catch up and it'll get on my nerves. If you want to do this weeks usual list and continue posting on this thread after the weekend then that is fine of course, I will be, but as long as you keep up with the dailies stuff, stick to your routines as much as possible, you'll all be fine, I know you will.
Serena, I use a book recommended on here called The Curry Secret, I got it off Amazon for a few quid when I was ordering something else. Recipes taste great so far. It does cost quite a bit at first for all the spices etc, I went through the book, decided what I would make first and bought those, then as I have tried more recipes bought those. The book contains a lot of info, cooking techniques etc. It's great having a curry then not having a bad tummy the next day, I always thought it was the curry, nope....makes me wonder what they do to the food. A good thing is aswell once you get used to making it you can reduce the fats etc you use making it healthier, and make to your own taste.
Likklegibbon I gave up on family cards this year, saved myself a fortune by getting ones printed with a photo of the boys in front of our tree which cost me £6 for all of them, I usually end up spending £40+ on special cards. Good to hear the car is sorted.
LJD1 I've done that once but thankfully had cash in the car, I rarely use cards in shops, couldn't tell you what the pin is on one of them as I have only ever used it online. One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks so much for all the hugs, you've all made me cry again!!! I didn't mean to make you all feel sad. Have had a lovely party tea at Nanan's and miracle of miracle's W swam in his lesson AGAIN!
Got some lovely pressies including a Willow Tree ornament from A & W that A chose weeks and weeks ago apparently. It is cloudy here tonight Dusty but I know that he is up there looking down on us all. I don't want anyone to feel awful about prattling/man bashing as that is what I love about this thread it proves that life keeps on going. I hate the widow word (it's a club no one wants to join), you lot make me feel 'normal'So drinks are on me tonight, name your poison
