Rum butter and whipped cream then :D

I think I will have to join rach on that challenge, the bad part of eating so late is making the mess so late, I don't think I could come down in the morning and face the mess :o so I best do it now.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • quick wave to you all.

Happy birthday to little mimi, and to AnW's mum :j  . Glad to hear you have had a nice day, and you are certainly allowed a little twinge of sadness. I sometimes really miss DH just cos he is doing a silly hours day or weekend, and we will all carry on man-bashing now and again because as you say - life carries on regardless. Often far too quickly, but that is how it goes. :D

I've had a busy but nice day, all the kids really appreciated the fun lessons i did with them today, and only had a run in with one kid who i have a run in with every lesson. New years resolution to stop letting her wind me up and kick her out my room a bit quicker i think. ;)

Achieved some bits but nothing fantastic:
    • taught all day
    • tidied my classroom for an hour while i did detention
    • marked some stuff while y11 and y9 were behaving themselves in front of a video so i could take my eyes off them for more than a minute.
    • delivered xmas cards at work
    • gave 2 science technicians their xmas pressies- look after them and they look after me. ;)
    • remembered to take in my selection boxes for y7 poster competition prizes - very greatfully received.
    • took charlie to visit the folks after work
    • delivered them their xmas cake and pud i had orderered from bettys for them
    • given a pair of PJs by mum - warm and huge, so should fit me now mine are getting a bit too tight for comfort
    • sister bathed charlie for me and changed the nastiest nappy ever. I do love my sister. :D She is a saint and would do anything to help me out
    • discovered where the fog lights are in my car all by myself without asking DH or anyone else to help out
    • cooked dinner with DH
    • checked through 2 x wilkos parcels, 1 x play parcel and 1x boots parcel that DH received today at work
    • was going to complain that my chocolate santa from wilkos was broken, but then discovered there was a bonus coin cascade game in my parcel. Normally i would be honest and return it, but i really haven't got time to at the minute, and i had to put up with all my stuff being squashed under packs of heavy nappies.
    • opened post
    • paid BT bill
    • paid water bill
    • arranged next council tax payment for January
    • received my car tax so will put that somewhere safe
    • checked internet banking online
    • sent a quick message to my friend who's baby was due last sunday and still no sign
i was supposed to wrap a pressie for my mate to give her tomorrow at work, but i can't be bothered after all of that, so i will instead have to drop it in at her house perhaps at the weekend or something. No big hassle as we go past her house all the time, and saves me stressing tonight.

Think i will nip and have a quick bath and then head to bed, remembering to take the paid bills with me to file away.

Night everyone, and one more day to go for me. :j

yes please to that chocolate :D

glad that your evening has been nice, AnW, we think the world of you on here :)

well, confession time, didn't finish my challenge as ended up speaking to one of best mates (bridesmaid) who had a baby a few weeks ago. i hadn't managed to speak to her since then, she had a very difficult time and in some countries would not still be here to tell the tale. i was biting my lip as she filled me in, i must say. more important than finishing the challenge i think you'll all agree.

have sorted some more of the packing, another box filled and another for the charity shop, DW is filled and on, i am in pjs and blanket is warming up (skipped the bath). just checking train times for tomorrow online, oddly they seem to have messed with the route since last time i went! very odd as it was only a week or so ago!!

  • I got a couple of things crossed off the list today, but not all that much. I ended up getting invited out for lunch by my hubby :)

In the morning I had a late start because my son stayed at home till almost 11 then went to school for third period, we wanted him to skip Rugby because they make them go out in almost minus degree temperatures in shorts and short-sleeved rugby tops, tracksuits are not allowed and last week he got sent home after ruggers because he felt sick from the cold and didn't warm up for an hour after he got in, poor thing. If I had sent him in with a note and no kit he'd have had a detention, whereas if I had sent him with a note excusing him and his kit he would have still had to change into it and stand there doing nothing in the cold. So I sent him in late with a note explaining he has a chest cold and that his asthma worsens when he is unwell, plus the fact he got sent home last week (he is a tiny thing and only 11, going on 12). I don't want him ending up in hospital with asthma now do I? Are we just being wimps or am I a cool mum? ;) Hopefully he'll get permission to send wear warm clothes or something next time.

I won't repost the list now cos it's late and I am very tired. Night all :)

  • As I know you guys are both alcohol friendly and chocoholics, I find that a good slug of Tia Maria in a half of Guinness tastes a lot like a Thorntons continental chocolate (tho don't tell anyone of Irish descent as its sacrilege to tamper with Liffey water)

Only 50 mins left of my night shift then I get to snuggle in my nest in the trees
