Decluttering - some paperwork relating to a course I did 20 years ago recycled, 2 new pieces of make up given to a friend (were freebies) , an item I got in a care package put in CS bag.
Used a piece from an old pair of DS1's jeans in rag bag to repair my jeans

Finally, another NSD 😃 might be on 10 now.
Congratulations@/ @apple_muncher, that's great news. Hugs to all with aches & pains, or having a tricky time.
Super busy day yesterday, starting with waking at 5.30 to take DH to the airport to go to hospital for a scan of his swollen arm. Home then to wake DS1&3, then got ready for work. Made protein balls from a recipe on another page, very simple & quick to do
My heart fell through the floor when I saw that I'd been timetabled the whole day with a tricky pupil, but nearly kissed our admin lady when she said the pupil was off sick 🎉 spent a lot of the day climbing up very high stepladders but up backing paper on noticeboards before the open evening at night.
Rushed to town after work, DH not home til evening, but decided to get a takeaway for tea anyway to put less pressure on me. Got a couple of things for sewing & headed up. Delicious Chinese takeaway 😋
Headed off to another village to host the first of my sewing classes. Everyone really enjoyed it. The lady who came to lock up after us, said she could hear us all laughing & it sounded like the sort of nightclass that she'd enjoy. One pupil even gave me a present, as she's been looking forward to it for so long & is so grateful I'm teaching it 😍
Today has been a bit up & down, one member of staff snapped at me as she wasn't in control of a situation, but another said how well I'd done with the pupil, & best they'd been in a long while. Going to suggest to head teacher that I'm there more often. Trying not to let the first one get to me, but it keeps creeping into my mind. Need to remind myself it is because of her incompetence & lack of skills!
Decluttered some photos off my phone, ready for DS2's 18th birthday on Friday. Had a bath after tea, then completed 2 sewing jobs. Off to bed with my book now.
Grateful for a great group of students, laughter, DH doing ok at the hospital, DS1 for picking him up from the airport (& learning a new skill - how to use a ticket barrier), a kind colleague, the sound of rainfall on a skylight
Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning,
Had a tricky few days that's why I've been MIA! 12 hour day at work yesterday starting at 6.30am purely because there is just so much work and only me to do it now they've reduced our team from 3 to just me! It really is wearing me down after going a million miles an hour since the restructure in April.
I was at 2 weeks without touching a drop of alcohol but I caved last night
BUT I'm going to put my positive pants on, get my head down, and not let a blip undo all the brilliant work we've done this month!
Yesterdays update;
Gratitude - Grateful for hubby and getting to spend some quality time together yesterday, even if it did involve wine! Grateful to be able to work form home today.
NSDs/ Pausing before purchasing spent yesterday on the wine so no updates here
Yoga/Meditation No yoga or meditation this morning. Overslept and starting work again in 5 minutes.
Eating and drinking Not been great at all the last 2 days. Going to reset and focus on the 2L today only.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,

Today
I've decided we will stay in Manchester another because Manchester's first city centre park for 200 years has just opened. It was built on a 6.5 acre site on derelict land next to Piccadilly station. (This is not because I can't find the Manchester A-Z and thus anything beyond Worsley is currently unavailable - I moved anything non-essential to deal with all the stuff for the EA and the solicitor).
Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair etc
I haven't done much in this category so we'll set this one off
Someone just passed on a tip from another lady who always buys old p y r e x dishes (other brands available) when she sees them at car boots etc. She uses them when making a meal for someone who needs it (she finds it cheaper than buying disposables). They can then use the dish themselves or pass it on.
I've seen a swing seat suitable for babies and upwards - it has detachable head support parts so it can change as the baby grows. Rather than buy a swing frame, I'm thinking I can reuse the frame from mum's old seat swing (2 person and mum's partner was no lightweight). It's strong enough, can be repainted (will dismantle and re-assemble for painting and moving), is tall enough for several years use but will not be overpowering in a small garden (DS2 and gf can have the cover as well, more stuff gone). Fits with DS2's sentimental attachment to family things.
I'm also thinking of making a mini Montessori busy board for the baby (discovered that some of the elements I couldn't cut myself are available ready to paint on the big river site). I'm going to use mum's old icing board and will staple the adjusting strap from an old bag (suitcase type) onto the back so that it can be attached to cot bars or a dining chair (heavy duty garden staples not just a paper stapler).9 -
Congratulations apple.
BadBookkeeper, it's been done in lots of stages. I set aside various things (like the house paperwork) at the start of the process. I concentrated on letting people know about mum's death and sorted the funeral arrangements. Then did all the paperwork that needed dealing with (any outstanding bills/ refunds) alongside clearing possessions and then cleaning the house and getting it ready for sale. A few weeks ago I went through a load of stuff and separated paperwork for my house, grandma's house (rented to the same tenant for 28+ years) and mum's. I'd given in and bought new box files - did a slightly indulgent stationery order but the old files I'd reused fell apart and papers kept escaping. I killed another pen filling in yesterday's forms - I'm on my third 10 pack since mum died and I've used all the old ones both mum and I had.
Right, off to make brief notes and then phone PIP (thankfully it's a free phone number). Better have pills first and maybe gather more food - could be hours.8
