Today I patriotically made scones and majestically baked two apple crumbles, and respectfully moved furniture around the back room. Then I disrespectfully did the washing up and put 3 loads of laundry which is drying outside on the Republican washing line.I have re-found my stash of candles and they will be deployed instead of the heating if the room becomes chilly.During my furniture moving exploits (at heights) I found a pair of battle drones I picked up during the first lockdown when c/s were allowed to open for 2 weeks before closing again (might have been a Leicester thing). £1 spend, and £6 replacement propellors but DS1 and DS3 are having a great time with them today.Salford Quays has a discount retail outlet, including a Codburys Chocolate store, S&M, H0mesense, Wh1ttards, and one of those weird shops that only sells machinery that uses a certain type of rechargable battery pack. All at vastly reduced prices.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

lcc86 The usual monthly travelcard price is €56 which is still cheap but it is ridiculously cheap at the moment…also the medium distance trains are completely free until the end of the year if you purchase a €10 coupon thing.
Still on NSD 7. Had a great day yesterday, a Venezuelan friend made us a pabellon lunch, rice, beans and fried plantain and I had 2 delicious pisco sour cocktails, but that was all the alch I had all weekend. We sat in the park afterwards and watched the sunset and the bats flitting about. I couldn’t remember the last time i’d done that…
Today I had a much needed lie in. Meditated and did breath work but no morning pages. Will try to write in journal this eve. Spent a while just tending to the house plants. Repotted a couple that needed it. Had a 2 egg fried egg sandwich for brek and then went out to visit the charity/vintage shops. Didn’t find anything but picked up a notebook for my Sister for her bday in Oct. Did spend on two mini choc croissants and a coffee in a cafe on the way home.
Have done a meal plan, planned my outfits for the week (who am I?) and stocked up on food for the week. We shouldn’t need anything else for the rest of the week so I will be banning bf from the shops. Made a batch of quinoa, spinach and parmesan bites for tomorrow (decided I needed a load of protein to get me through 2 exercise classes)
Grateful for lie ins, slow mornings, fried egg sandwiches, recipes that you don’t have to measure quantities for, aaaaand bf coming back from a stag do in Mallorca this eve (I have oven pizza and carbonated drinks on standby)

Evening turtles 🐢
Very early start today as met up with a friend for an early horse ride. Was a bit of a long one and my hips and back are definitely feeling it. Went for a swim afterwards as well to try and loosen up. Topped up with petrol and bought some veg for the house buns as I'd run out without realising.
Watched this week's bake off and then fell asleep for about 2 hours! Made an early dinner, a recipe I hadn't tried before and it was lovely! But I do need to buy a couple of oven dishes as I needed two and only had one as I'd broken one ages ago. Have some vouchers so will try and use those.
Now just relaxing watching trash TV under the duvet for the evening.8 -
Evening turtles.
Not much going on here today not really feeling 100%! Shame though as it’s a lovely day.
Simplify - Rearranged things in the conservatory few odd, old candles binned and only need to find a home or sell ds football table that he never plays with.Essential spends - Still 8/15. Bought ingredients to make a cake but also bought wine I like that was on offer but was not essential! This always happens mid month so I’m a few days later this month!Preparation & Planning - Bought ingredients today as most shops closed tomorrow. Will need to review budget pots.
Think about spends - I did but spent anyway!!!
Eat to nourish - Had a grilled cooked breakfast this morning and will have something light this evening.
Mindfulness - Not really today
Be kind - Gave DH a lift to the pub and DS to the park to meet his friends. Also dropped off a full charity bag of clothes donations.
Exercise - None again today.

Today I am grateful for getting some tickets for a concert in Feb that dc really wants to go to, for a fab lunch with friends who always do a full roast lunch and pavlova for us, for getting 2 loads of laundry washed, for dc doing some hwk while we were out for lunch, for finally embroidering Harry's glasses and scar on two knitted thingies.

Sunday sweepTransport 26Food £16Leisure 0Hit my target of 100 for a bulk shop at the Cost.company warehouse. We went today and stocked up on toilet rolls, laundry detergent, rice, spices, evoo, and other things we use in larger quantities. I warned Mr Spendy Pants (OH) before going that we had a clear mission and a set budget (waving the envelope with £100 in it). Not a ‘why don’t we get this solar powered back scratcher!’ We spent £100.09!Grateful today for time with OH and DS, DS’s cold lifting, DS getting his second covid vaccine, OH making his Indian-style curry for dinner, and for a new series to watch in the evenings.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸10

A damp start to the day, but it soon dried up & was really sunny in the afternoon 😊
Went with DH to another town, to buy a second hand TV for DS3, then we went for a walk along a beach side path & past war buildings. Haven't been that way for months! After dinner, I strimmer the garden, then painted one end of the shed. A customer collected their sewing & a lady came for a plant, gave me a box of chocolates in return 😃
Read some of my book, then slept for 20mins whilst the veg cooked. Prepped letters for posting, updated all accounts, then just had over an hour in the bath. More reading, facepack & relaxing.
Grateful for a day in the garden, surprise chocolates, a lovely walk, me timeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning,
Didn't post yesterday as it was DD's birthday and it was a busy one!
Saturday/Sunday update;
Gratitude - Today is day 12 without alcohol so very grateful for that. Grateful for my daughter enjoying her birthday, being super sociable with family and thanking me for a lovely day at the end of the day. So very blessed. Grateful that DD2 is recovering from a nasty chesty virus.
NSDs/ Pausing before purchasing still on 6/10 NSDs as DD1 decided she wanted pancakes for breakfast, so we obliged as it was her birthday!
Yoga/Meditation Yoga class at the gym Saturday, no yoga yesterday, but a lovely ywa this morning for 25 minutes.
Eating and drinking 2L again yesterday. I'm doing better on the food front too. Significantly less sugar and loads more veg. I'm going to try to do a day without sugar entirely today. Fingers crossed!
