not sure which of my many calls and contacts with their CS got it sorted but my 25% incentive has finally appeared today. i had given up and was about to send an official complaint today.
...and as if by magic the offer has disappeared from my account over night. nothing tracked on my initial test spends which i see can be a while but now no idea whether to carry on spending. i can't be bothered going through the CS saga again. straight to complaint i think.
another update on mine. the cashback on the initial spends all tracked correctly after about 5 days and the offer has re-appeared on my account. i'm going to quickly spend the rest and hope for it to track, then pay.
  • All my cashback is still showing in the "Future Cashback" section, despite being well over 35 days since my first few purchases.  I called up and was told "Yes, it can take longer", and that even once it does become available, redeeming it can take over a month.

yep. my issues all seem to be resolved and things have settled. all cashback so far tracked after a few days. going to spend today to max the cashback limit.
shame they they take so long to become payable and beyond their own terms but hey ho, might get the actual cash just before christmas.

I can't wait to reach the cashback limit for the supermarket shops so I can clear off somewhere else.  They are without a doubt the worst bank I've ever had to deal with.  Impossible to get through to anybody on the phone (last week I spent nearly 6 hrs on hold for them to unlock my online/mobile account which they randomly froze without any sort of follow up call.  The app is really glitchy at times. Would never use them for day to day banking
  • I had to phone them again today, because I'm about to hit 50 days since my first eligible spend and all my cashback is still showing in the Future section.  Also, my Future Cashback amount originally went up to over £160, then was capped at £160 when I got the eligibility email (4 weeks after switch) but has recently reverted back to the original amount over £160, despite there being no eligible spending in the past 2 weeks

Hi.  Wondering if anyone knows the answer.  I think I might have missed the deadline for this offer.  It said within 45 days I had to register for the cashback and pay £1000 into my savings account.  My 45 days ended on 10 October.  I applied to switch on 8 October and paid in the money on 8 October, registering for cashback at same time.  Switch completed 18 October.  I asked VM through live chat and he said if I am eligible, I will get an email within 14 days.  Thanks in advance....

I think we're giving up on this one

Daughter who is a new customer by definition of T&C's opened a joint VM account with wife who already has a VM account

Switched with 2 DD's and deposited £1,000 but cashback offer has not been given to daughter

Live chat says that "account already held" but I can't see that the T&C's rule out my daughter who is the primary account holder and has never had a VM or Yorkshire Bank account

Complained to customer relations and still waiting for a reply

The T&C's don't seem particularly well written, my daughter will probably never be able to get a VM switch incentive now and my wife has never had a VM switch incentive anyway

The interest rate isn't competitive, the app is carp and customer service is poor so on reflection I think we'll vote with our feet and just all pull our money out and go somewhere else

I might write to the Financial Ombudsman but I don't expect that will achieve anything
  • I'm now approaching 2 months and still waiting for my cashback to become "Available".  I've been told their technical team are looking into a solution for whatever issue they've identified that has affected my account, but they refuse to give a timescale on when this is likely to be resolved, nor will they manually authorise/pay the £160 cashback.
  • My cashback has still stayed in ‘future’ so it must be an issue with everyone’s accounts. Unless anyone has had their £160 paid?
