Jeez! Easter has snuck up on me! Need to order my Easter egg moulds/molds...quick smart!!! We will have a busy thread again next week. Lots of lovely pics I hope. :D

Am making an egg for my 2 nephews and my niece and my friend's little boy. My first time doing them! My 15 year old niece is so excited, cos she has never had one made for her before.....lets see how long that excited face lasts when she sees it, with my rubbish icing on it as well. :rotfl:

    Hallo my lovely. ;)

Here is a recipe for you. Easier than making it for you.:rotfl:

    http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4677/marbled-chocolate-brownies

Hiya! Finally (thanks Sky Broadband) back to internet access (Wi-Fi type yeah!) at home :j - no more daytime trips to the pub for me! (Could get to be a habit!...)

Thanks for the recipe LouBlue, its like the other one without the complicated swirly wirly thing on the top isn't it? As a non-cook, that does appeal... ;)

For sticking the Smartie on, CT19720, I would use one of those writing icing tubes, they are easy peasy lemon sq....

Looking forward to seeing our Easter egg attempts... I haven't made a complete egg yet either but I liked Emms idea of only making half and filling it with chocolate shapes, ingenious! They looked great and solved the sticking two halves together prob...

Would also be interested in seeing the melting sweets idea for the non-chocolate eaters amongst us (don't think there are many of those here :D )

Oh and LouBlue, if your icing doesn't look right just [STRIKE]bodge[/STRIKE] bung on lots of hundreds & thousands or the like... :D

Actually, LouBlue, I didn't say I WAS going to 'chicken' out (groan!) of sticking the two halves together, I said "I liked the idea", so :p!

If I remember correctly you said you were going to stick yours together with Superglue! :D (snigger)

Don't forget to watch Willy tonight - y'know the chocolate factory bloke! ;) 9pm Channel 4...

Okay Loublue, I'm here to see all your Easter Egg attempts or are you going to be last minute again :D

The Lovely Quackers who started this ever popular thread is away from MSE for a while due to her beautiful elder daughter having to have an operation and I thought it would be nice if the posters who have come together on this great thread popped over and left their good wishes for the Duck and both her daughters.

I was really disappointed when I turned over to that, I thought it was going to be Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe and Veruca Salt. :(:D

Where have you been? We have been discussing this programme for the last 3 weeks... Remember - the chocolate injected pig?.... The Willie (not Willy!:o :D )from this particular programme puts chocolate on or in all of his recipes - I bet he has it on his Beans on Toast! :rotfl: This week it was the sauce for partridges!

As for the Willy Wonka film, I preferred the old one with Gene Wilder (but then I'm showing my age again! :D )

Thanks for that LouBlue, I was a bit worried you were going to send me pictures of Gene Wilder, or even worse, Grandpa Joe! :rotfl:

Jem8472 haven't heard from you for a while, have you got something to show us? Sorry, that sounds a bit rude! but didn't you say you were going to make some eggs last weekend?

I think I'll do a trial this week, I want to see if I can do the 'joiny-joiny' technique - and if not, come Easter everybody will be getting halves filled with choccie shapes!...
